Music pumped around me as I danced, barely on my feet as my drink sloshed in its glass with each of my unsteady movements, alcohol splashing onto my hand. I danced without care, leaning into the man who grabbed my hips and pulled me back into him. I didn't care that I hadn't seen him. I didn't care that his hands were rough on me. I didn't care that he grinded into me like there was no tomorrow. I was too drunk to care about anything.
We danced for a while before he started speaking in my ear. "Let's get out of here," he growled into my ear. I think he thought he was being seductive – he wasn't. But I let him lead me outside, half carrying me. I stumbled in my heels, giggling softly at myself. Everything around me blurred. The buildings and streetlamps passed by without me really noticing. The occasional cab went by in a flash of yellow as the man kept an arm secured around my waist.
I heard him snickering, another voice calling out to him. The voices sounded like they were underwater as the man I leaned on spoke with another. "...out of it..." drifted into my ears. A deep, sinister chuckle followed it. Hands held tight on my arms and waist as I felt myself being dragged sideways. "Dude, this bitch is so wasted," one man taunted the other. "Easiest catch this week," the first one agreed with a snicker.
Cold brick hit my back and I let myself lean against it gratefully. My head lulled to the side but rough hands caught my face, keeping me upright. "Smile for me, baby. This'll be fun," he growled as rough hands grabbed at my skirt, attempting to yank it up. That's when I brought my knee up between his legs. The man let out a groan, stumbling back as he held himself, brown hair falling in his face. "Bitch!" he growled at me as his blonde friend stared with shocked eyes. "Rude," I quipped back, pushing off of the brick wall.
I stumbled only slightly as I brought my fist across the temple of the blonde man. He groaned, head whipping around and smacking the brick wall. The brown-haired man stood, fist raised. He struck out, catching my jaw. The flesh of my lip burst and I could taste blood in my mouth. As it dribbled down my lip and to the concrete, I let out a laugh. A dark chuckle that showed no fear – only enjoyment. The two men stared at me, a hint of fear in their eyes. Lunging forward, it didn't take long until both men were bloody, beaten, and unconscious in the alley they dragged me down.
I was drunker than I had thought as I began stumbling back out of the alley and onto the street again. The whole time I walked, I kept leaning against any wall or street sign I could find. I made it maybe ten blocks before whimpers reached my ears. "Please. Please, help me. Help!" a girl screamed. A grunt of pain accompanied the sound of flesh smacking flesh. "Shut up. Struggle all you want, but scream again and you're dead," a man's voice hissed. Rolling my eyes, I turned down the alley.
I expected what I saw – a man keeping a girl against the wall, greedy hands bruising her olive flesh as he tried to undo his pants. "You like it when they struggle, huh? Like it when they fight?" I called out, words slurring. The man froze, gaze hard on me as the girl's eyes pleaded. "Go on. This ain't none of your business, bitch," he barked at me. I smirked in response. "What's with assholes calling me a bitch tonight?" I grumbled.
Launching forward, I grabbed the man by his hair, pulling him back from the girl. She continued to whimper as she scattered to the side, landing on the ground with her knees to her chest. I slammed the man's head into the wall before yanking it back and shoving him towards a dumpster. He caught himself against it, righting himself before turning to swing. Catching his wrist, I bent it back painfully. He cried out before I brought my elbow down on his nose. Blood exploded from his nostrils as he groaned in more pain.
"You broke my nose!" he shouted at me. Bringing my heel down hard on his bent knee, his screams echoed through the alley. "Now I broke your leg," I hissed before taking his arm and bringing it down hard on the corner of a sturdy wooden crake. His arm snapped and he screamed again, his voice fading into whimpers as I stared at the bone protruding from his arm. The whimpers faded as the pain became too much and he finally passed out.
