It was cold darkness all around you, the only warmth coming from your younger brother that was shaking in your arms, you were terrified but you couldn't let it show, not with your brother here. He was whimpering and calling your name for comfort, all you could do was hush him and try to provide him that comfort.

Your right shoulder burnt with pain. Whoever it was that had kidnapped you and your brother had set a fire in the mansion, and in a bid to save your brother got you a flaming beam to the shoulder. You hadn't had the chance to look at it yet but it felt pretty bad, the curtain around the cage you were in opened and an old mans masked crazed face could be seen. Your brother whimpered and tightly gripped your shirt trying to pull himself closer to you, you hugged him tighter to stop your own shaking body from giving away your fear.

You tried to take the man's attention, but his eyes wouldn't look at you, they were only on your brother. The man said something to another man behind him and there was a clink of keys, as the cage door was unlocked and opened. A large hand reaching through the opening and others following.

They pulled you and your brother roughly apart, while you clawed and screamed trying to get back to one another, but it was useless as he was soon pulled from view and you were locked back in the cage.

"...Ciel..."

"CIEL!"

You gasped and shot into a seated position. Your breathing was heavy and sweat ran your face, another nightmare of that night. The night that changed your life forever. You lit the candle at your bedside table so you could see the time, before standing up and getting dressed for the day, you wouldn't be able to go back to sleep now. Not after that nightmare.

That day, after you were separated from Ciel, you were bought by some scientists that were funded by nobles and taken to a big plain building where there were many other children like you. There they experimented and tortured you trying to, as they would say 'unlock your inner self', and eventually they succeeded.

You eventually snapped while they tortured you, your inner self came out and you killed them all. You threw them all across the room while collapsing the buildings integrity. You had no control at that time, your anger too explosive, not a single person surviving.

Telekinesis. That was the inner self they were looking for. That was your ability that destroyed all those people.

The moment you escaped you were going to rescue Ciel no matter what physical state you were in, you were just hoping he was still alive and ok. But you didn't need to. He had rescued himself; you were so happy and went to go back to the manor, back to the little brother you loved. But stopped yourself the moment your eyes landed on a headline in an abandoned and old newspaper.

Ciel couldn't remember you. At all. You couldn't go back to the manor if he didn't remember you, you couldn't ever see your brother again, you'd look crazy if you did go back there proclaiming you were his elder sister. So, you didn't go back. Not only that but that new butler that was by his side gave you the shivers and the hots at the same time, it was a confusing emotion.

It didn't matter though, and you got quite lucky, as an elderly noble couple caught sight of you wondering the streets and took you in as there new and only maid. They also accepted your telekinetic abilities, you told them the moment they offered you the position, so that they didn't find out later and kick you out. If you had nothing and they didn't take you, you would still have nothing. If you went with them and they kicked you out after a while, you'd go back to nothing from finally settling down. But they didn't seem the least bit bothered.

After dressing in your maid dress, you headed down to the kitchen to start the morning tea and breakfast. In the kitchen the new morning paper caught you eye. You read, your hand flicking in the air to make the tea, the cups, saucers, and tea leaves flying in the air behind you.

A smile came to your face while reading the paper, the Phantomhive company was flourishing under his control and he was making more money than he knew what to do with, your parents would be very proud of him. Your flicking hand stopped, the tea stuff settling gently on the table, and came up to rest on your right shoulder. It always did when you thought of your family.

It was where you had been wounded protecting your brother, the wound was bad and with the scientists not cleaning or dressing it, it scarred badly. It was an ugly burn scar, but it was part of you now, so love it all the same. Sighing you put the paper down and instead focused fully on the tea and breakfast, you had to forget about that now, your noble life was over. You had to abandon the Phantomhive name forever.

Once prepared you put everything on a cart and went to your masters bedroom, just in time to wake them up for the day, you knocked on the door calling to them "Master! My Lady! Time to wake up"

*3rd Persons POV*

Back at the Phantomhive manner a certain demon butler was cleaning the books in the library, to stop the dust from settling in the room. He had just woken up his young lord and left him to work after tea and breakfast, and had also sent his other servants to work at their usual tasks, this gave the demon butler some time to himself to clean.

Reaching up to a particularly high shelf to a very old looking book. The butler pulled it down, ready for the book to fall apart, but instead, a slip of paper fell down to the floor. Sebastian frowned and placed the book down to retrieve the paper, in the back there was some faded pencil marks and words, the only thing left that could be made out was 'The Phantomhive Family.'

A photo then, he thought, turning over the paper. But the moment he did his demon heart stoped, he didn't actually think it was possible for him to feel shocked like this, his crimson eyes burning holes through one of the figures captured in the photo. A young girl with a bright warm smile on her face stood as proper as she could muster.

Her father stood behind her with a hand on her shoulder, opposite them was young Ciel and his mother. Judging by the date this was taken only just before the fire and kidnapping of his young lord, so the young master has a sister then, Sebastian thought, why wasn't I informed? After all his master hasn't ever even mentioned her in passing like he did his parents, he acted as though she didn't even exist. But he had stared to do that with all his family since the incident, but he could have forgotten, trauma can change the mind.

With that thought he turned back around and left the library, forgetting the cleaning completely, he headed to his young master's study. Photo in hand. Eyes still burning holes through the girl.
