*(Y/N)'s POV*
After tucking your master and lady into bed for the night, you bowed and left them to sleep like you would do every night. Outside their door you let out a big sigh, today was as hectic as any other day, as the only maid you were always busy. With the size of the manor there should be at least 4 other servants running around with you, but there was only you.
Thinking about it you couldn't understand why you were the only maid; the Stephens were a well-respected and powerful family, anyone would be willing to work for them. But they only employed you, and you were very great full for that employment, but not so much that you were by yourself.
You went back to change, but not for bed, you were going out. You weren't going to sleep tonight. Once a month you would go out and back to that old building, where the 'inner you' was brought forth, and go through the files that they kept there. You wanted revenge on those who hurt you; and you knew exactly how to get it.
All the scientists were already dead, so you couldn't exact your revenge on them, but the nobles who funded those scientists were still alive. Once a month you'd pick out a file, without looking at the others, and murder those nobles listed inside. They were foolish, all their information was in those files allowing you to easily track them down.
You weren't worried about your masters as they slept. They were protected. They had a large amount of private security that watched the building around the clock. So, they were safe and protected from any intruders, you weren't hired for security anyway so it didn't matter too much.
You changed into trousers and a baggy, personally cut tank top with a jacket thrown on top. Pulling up the jacket hood you left through your bedroom window, you were alert and ready, you always had to be when entering that building as it could collapse at any time, after all.

The building crumbled more and more with every step. You knew the exact room you needed and it didn't take long for you to get there, the darkness of the night making everything more difficult. Once in the room you found the exact cabinet you needed and opened it.
You froze the moment it was opened; it was empty. Someone had taken the other files. You panicked and ran to the box that you'd put the used ones in, also finding it empty. Panic surged through you, someone was researching the place, you didn't know what else they had found and could have information on you.
You and the Stephens were in trouble, if they knew about you, they'd come after, and hurt you and possibly your employers. Turning quickly, you ran, not caring about the building, you had to get back to your home and fast.

"Another bust. If the last Nobel family we see are the same as the last two, we go to that old building" Ciel grumbled
"Yes my lord. I'll protect you all the way, although I should mention I have already been there and have collected the files of note" Sebastian nodded."I don't care, I need to see it for myself" Ciel frowned at his butler for that piece of slightly hidden knowledge.
The night had been a long one for them. They had visited two of the three surviving families and so far had found nothing. The noble family of Cooper had never been to the building or knew anything about who they were testing on, they simply just sent through their money and left it at that. And the noble family of Brusstles were actually dead, well those who funded and knew about the experiments were dead, the family was still going though which is where the false information came from. Sebastian got a bit of an ear lashing for that.
"What's the final noble families name?" Ciel asked frowning.
"The Stephens. I do exercise caution though with these nobles, I did check around the building before coming back to you earlier and found a lot of hidden private security around. Like they were almost preparing for something big." Sebastian said.

The masters of the house were the ones to answer the door when they knocked, not a maid like they expected, the Stephens looked angry at the late night interruption and at the lack of their maid, who was supposed to be there and complained about it the whole way to the tea room.
Once seared it was Sir Stephens to speak first "once again, Sir Phantomhive, I apologise for our maid not being here to greet you."
"Its fine Sir Stephens, I did call on you very late. But you only have one maid? I was sure with a house this size you'd have a considerable number of servants" Ciel asked intrigued.
"Yes, ummmm, we only need one maid and she's usually very capable. We did think about adding another maid, but our current maid can manage just fine" Sir Stephens answered "so Sir Ciel, What did you call to our house for at this hour?"
*(Y/N)'s POV*
The moment you got in; you didn't even bother to change before you were racing through the corridors in search of your master. But there was a problem, the moment you turned your door handle to escape your room, you found it locked tight shut. No matter how many times you pulled, or how hard, the door wouldn't budge.
You banged on the door shouting "hey! Let me out! It's important!"
"Hush up wench! The masters are in an important meeting with Sir Ciel Phantomhive, you wouldn't want something to happen to you for interrupting." someone called from the other side
It was definitly one of their personal guards... wait... did he say Phantomhive?! your eyes went wide. My brother's here! Why is my brother here? There was also something in the way that man spoke, something evil and undetected, something that told you your brother wouldn't be leaving this place alive. You frowned, not on my watch.
You pressed your ear and hands to the door, right by the lock, to listen. You focused. You couldn't see the lock, so this would be tricky, using your abilities you were slowly able to turn the lock. The slight click confirming it. With a smile you wrenched open the door, the few men keeping guard looking shocked, you were about to give them hell.

Back with Ciel, he was glaring at the two nobles across the table from him, they had all been sat in silence since Ciel produced the picture of his old family. But in a way this was good, their silence just confirmed to him that they knew something, now all he needed to do is pry, and he'd get something.
But Sir Stephens spoke before he could "you know Lord Ciel, I'm glad my maid was locked in her bedroom, we've been keeping her so successfully in the dark about our past for so long."
"What are you saying" Ciel tensed with a frown.
"Well she was one of MY organisation test subjects and the only one to survive it's collapse, she's probably try to kill us if she knew that though." Sir Stephens took the photo of the Phantomhive family looking at it "she looks so young in this photo, I almost forget that she used to be a noble."
Ciel stood up fast eyes wide, she's here! My sister is here in the building! He couldn't find the words to speak and instead took off running out the door, all the way back to the main entrance of the manor in search of his sister, that's when they came. Numbers upon numbers of men had come running to block their path, surrounding them, armed to the teeth.
*(Y/N's POV*
You ran and ran, heading to the main entrance to the estate, where the sounds of running and shouting could be heard, Ciels in trouble... I have to hurry. As soon as you got there you crashed into the area eyes instantly meeting deep crimson red, you were transfixed by the deep pools unable to look away until a voice called out.
It was Sir Stephens that appeared with his wife at the top of the stairs opposite you "look at this. I have the entire Phantomhive family in my estate. I had a feeling you would escape maid, it's a shame but at least I can end the Phantomhive's here and now."
Ciel! Your eyes search the area for him, and you soon found him, Ciel was watching you with eyes as wide as saucers, you couldn't help but give him a small smile despite the situation. It had been so long since you had seen him, the eyes patch was new, but it somehow suited him. His new butler, the crimson eyes handsome man that you first saw, was frowning and no longer looking at you but instead preparing to defend your brother the moment the private security made their attack. At least Ciel will he safe, you thought watching the butler, he looks very capable.
"And why would that be a shame?" You faced Sir Stephens again, you were so confused. He knew you were a Phantmohive and he wanted to kill you and your brother. Why?
Your eyes widened as he pulled a sharp knife from his trousers "because it means I've waisted all that money creating you, because it means I'll now defiantly have to kill you instead of using you for my own purposes. If I don't kill you, you'll kill me"
With that final word the room erupted with chaos, the private security attacked your brother weapons flying but Ciels butler blocking all the while, and Sir Stephens threw his knife with precision and accuracy no noble should know. The knifes path ending with it being imbedded in your head, you gasped with that realisation, a clear shout ringing through the room. But he wouldn't be able to save you, no one could."Sebastian!"
