Chapter 9

*Flashback*

"Quiet girl!" The cage shook as a sharp hit was administered to the metal bars.

The loud metal clang made you jump and shy away from where it came from, you shut your mouth as tears gathered in your eyes, with your brother not with you any more, you could show weakness. You were scared and without a reason to hide it you couldn't. The sheet around the cage was replaced and you still didn't know what was going to happen to you.

You slipped to the side of the cage as it started to move, you could hear the squeak of wheels from what you assumed was a trolly, you had no idea where you were being taken or to who. From the exchange with your brother you could tell that this was some sort of human trafficking, or child market, for rich noble and criminal organisations.

You weren't sold at the same time as your brother or to the same people, so that just left you wondering what was in store for you. You didn't know what happened to those unwanted humans who aren't sold, all your young mind kept going to was death, why would they keep someone who couldn't make them anything.

*Time Skip*

The trip was long, and it didn't help that you had no idea where you were going, but eventually you did stop moving. There was silence until the echoing squeak from a door filled the space, followed by loud footsteps, until that stopped as well. Silence then filled the space, you were so tense you even held your breath so that you didn't make a sound.

"Well... do you have any unwanted subjects left for me? Or are we just going to stare at each other" a voice rang out, a voice that you hadn't heard before.

"I have one for you. The other was sold" that was a familiar voice, it was the voice of the man who seemingly ran this operation.

"That'll do... name?" The first voice came again.

"She's (Y/N) Phantomhive and she's all yours to do as you please with. Don't bore me with any details, just pay me and take her" the seller spoke with a growl behind his voice.

"Phantomhive!" The first voice started "as in the queens guard dog, Phantomhive?"

"Yes she's the daughter of Vincent Phantomhive, the queens guard dog is dead and his eldest child is in this cage" the cellar grumbled in disinterest "payment?"

"I'll be sure to let my employer know if this child she certainly will he a good subject" you heard slight footsteps as the unknown man came closer "you know I don't deal with the money, my employer will send the money to you as normal, you can probably expect a tip for the pedigree of this one"

You heard the clap of there hands as they came together and shook in agreement. This was it; this would be where you were going, you still didn't know what it was you were just glad you weren't being killed yet. Although you would soon wish that you were.

*Time Skip*

You felt like you had been set in fire but it also felt like there were millions of bugs crawling under your skin, this was all because of an injection. The moment the man who bought you brought you into a large hidden forest building, he strapped you down to a table, you were then surrounded by scientists who stuck you with all sorts of liquids.

You only just managed to open your eyes, you looked down on yourself, you could see your body dripping with sweat and your body was extremely tense and shaking. The horribly thin gown they forced you to wear was also drenched in sweat, so much so that it was becoming see through, the scientists weren't in the room any more but instead were watching you through a thick pane of glass.

But you didn't have the mind to feel uncomfortable by their stares as another surge of pain flashed through your body, your eyes shut tight and your head fell back as you shouted and squirmed in pain. You body and mind could only hold on for so long, until eventually your mind simply shut off and you passed out.

*Time Skip*

"Nothing!" You jolted awake from the shout.

Your eyes snapping open and looking around the area, you were still in the same room you had passed out in but this time the scientists were in the room with you. Your body ached all over and you couldn't move, whatever they had pumped into you had made you very lethargic, your eyes moved back over to the scientists.

"... yes nothing... but the chemicals are all in her now so we just have to draw it out" the man was clearly fear full of the man who bought you, but there was a hint of danger there you didn't like.

The lead scientists grabbed him by the scruff "do you purposely ignore me! You know of her bloodline do you not! If she dies, I'll kill you where you stand. That's a promise"

The lead scientist dropped the other to the floor with a thump before storming away, your brain couldn't keep up and you still didn't know what they were actually trying to do to you or why. The entire time you had been here all you had heard was something called an 'inner self' and that it had to be brought forward. You didn't know what an 'inner self' is, but you knew that the pain injection was something to do with that.

The man on the floor finally turned around to you, seeing you awake "ah your awake. Tell me do you feel any different, we haven't been able to detect a difference"

You said nothing so that man looked to his coworkers "I'll take that as a no... put her in the cage and bring in one of the other kids... we'll experiment on them first. Hopefully a bit of fear with bring out her inner self before we have to experiment on her"

You were immediately unstrapped and pulled from the table, you were still completely lethargic and could barely move, so they literally dragged you across the floor and dumped you in a nearby cage. You hit the floor with a thump, your head cracking against the metal bottom, they turned your head and body, so you were looking out into the room. They then locked the cage door and left the room.

It didn't take them too much longer but they soon came back dragging a young boy, he was a lot younger than you and her was kicking and screaming up a storm, if you could move you'd be try to escape you cage and help him, but your exhausted body and voice refused your minds command.

They then strapped him to the table that you were once on, you could only watch in horror as the scientists began to beat the boy with all sorts of different tools, the boy could only scream and struggle until he couldn't scream and struggle any longer. Blood dropped from the table to the floor as the boy went quiet, the scientists confirmed that he was still alive, all of them laughing at the poor boy.

"Put him back in his cell, if he's still alive in the morning give him bread, is he's dead dump him in the body scute" one of the scientists laughed

Fear erupted in your body as the scientists then all turned to you, they were going to beat you just like the boy, that's what they meant by 'experiment on'. They were going to beat you to near death, tears gathers in your eyes at the thought, still at least brother Ciel hasn't got to deal with this. But that was probably Because he was in his own type of hell, you just hopped that it wasn't as bad as this one.

"She's crying... good, feel the fear little girl. Get me another child we'll work of fear first, hopefully that'll get her to crack"

*End Of Flashback*

"So out of fear of being killed himself that scientist continued to use this method of fear for a few weeks. But they eventually got bored and realised that fear wasn't going to 'bring out my inner self' they turned to torture and bearings, which I had to put up with for a least a year and a half. When my inner self, my telekinetic abilities, literally exploded from my body I killed everyone in the building and half destroyed said building" you finished quickly turning to your brother.

His mouth was agape and he was just looking at you clearly surprised you told him your past "right well, that makes me even more sorry that I didn't remember you or even find anything in the manor about you... I could have rescued you."

"Ciel. It's all in the past now and most of the evidence of me was probably burnt down with the manor so don't beat yourself up about something you can't control, like the reason that caused you to loose your memory. Your probably have your own awful memories you had to deal with don't add to that" you smiled reassuringly "We're alive and ok that's all that matters."

Ciel stares to counter what you were saying but was cut off by the sound of a loud and fast approaching carriage, you both turned to look, your eyes widening at the eye familiar young person hanging out the window.

Sebastian appeared beside you "young master, lady (Y/N), sorry for the late warning but the Midford family is here to see you."
