*Still 3rd Persons POV*

The tea cup rattled and tipped, spilling its contents onto the table and then subsequently spilling to the floor, it was the force of Ciels hands hitting the table that sent it over. The picture clasped tightly in one of his hands. His eyes not moving from the image, not even blinking, like he was afraid it was all a dream and one blink could mean it disappears forever.

His face was tense and tight, displaying a wide range of different emotions that all moulded together. Anger, sadness, surprise, pain and even some relief was all strewn across his features. His entire body shook, his one uncovered eye could be seen wide, both of his fists were balled against the table. The picture in his hand being unintentionally crinkled by the force of his grip around it.

At the beginning, Ciel didn't want anything to do with the family portrait his butler had brought him. He was angry, he had specifically instructed all photos of his parents and family destroyed. But the butler insisted until he took the photo from his hands in a huff.

The other servants were in the room getting their jobs for the day, all looked over to him in silence, there mouths open wide with shock. They had been in the room when Sebastian brought his master the photo but thought nothing of it, until their master reacted.

Sebastian also turned from the servants to Ciel thinking, I was right the second time... he had forgotten his sister, a blank look on his face as he watched. His deep crimson eyes darkened as he awaited his orders that he knew was coming.

"Is everything alright young master?" Mey-Rin carefully asked.

But Ciel didn't seem to hear, or more like ignored, her prompting Sebastian to answer instead "it seems the young master has discovered he has an elder sister. Isn't that good news?"

"A sister? The young master has family that is still alive... I bet she's lovely" Finny's eyes sparkled in happiness for his master as he clasps his hands together just under this chin.

"Don't be stupid" Ciel spat before Bard could speak in his support "she isn't alive, this is just another family member I have to avenge from the fire"

A dark aura surrounded Ciel, a sad lonely and vengeful aura, he was about to storm from the room to gather his thoughts alone when Tanaka popped up stopping him in his tracks "if I may say my lord, lady (Y/N) Phantomhive did not perish in that fire with your parents"

Ciel whirled around in him seething with anger "and you. Why didn't you say anything about my sister, you've had plenty of time to tell me."

"I apologise young master but when you returned you didn't seem to remember her, so all of us who did know about her agreed not to say anything, I say agreed but the masters agreed and instructed the servants to do the same. You already had the painful knowledge of the loss of your parents we didn't want to add to your trauma" Tanaka answered calmly.

Ciel went to grab the elderly servant but a gentle gloved hand on his shoulder stopped him "young master, if you listen and calm down, you would hear what Tanaka is trying to tell you" it was Sebastian who stopped him.

"Get your hands off me, I heard what he said" Ciel now whirled around on the butler still seething with anger, but Sebastian wasn't fazed by it.

"So if the young lord sister didn't die in the fire-" Bard started.

"Then she must be alive" the other servants finished.

"Don't give me false hope, it does nothing for anyone" Ciel murmured his anger dissipating as Tanaka disappeared with a puff of smoke, turning into his smaller form.

"Young master, the servants may have a point" Sebastian started lifting a finger to his chin "she must have been taken away with you after the fire, but she defiantly wasn't with you when I 'found' you"

'Found' as just a cover for how Sebastian came to Ciel, used around the servants he couldn't exactly say that Ciel summoned him, that would be far too suspicious and obvious. The servants may act like it, but they weren't completely stupid. Ciel looked at his head butler an unreadable look on his eye, but he was considering the words carefully.

"Look into it" Ciel turned away ready to leave the room "if she wasn't with me, in that... hell, then she just have been taken elsewhere. It shouldn't be too difficult for you to find documents for that auction, I want to know who else they were selling to and the information about said organisations"

"Yes young master" Sebastian bowed and then turned back to the four servants "while I'm out, you four, get to work. And try not to destroy the manor while I'm gone."

With those final words everyone set off to do there jobs, all of them with a big skip in there step, apart from Ciel. But Sebastian could tell, while watching him, it was obvious that the news had given even him a boost.

"For someone so sure that she is dead, you seem awfully determined to search for her" Sebastian said to Ciel while looking at him out of the corner of his eye

"Of course I am, as the head of my family it is my duty to look after it. If there is a possibility that she is... that (Y/N) is still alive then I have to explore it" Ciel answered finally leavening the room.

Sebastian watched his master leave with a small dark smile on his face, he could tell that what he said wasn't completely the truth. Once out of ear shot the butler sighed "ugh, another Phantomhive to care for, just my luck" he knew right away that the moment this (Y/N) was found he would be ordered to care for her every needs by his master, but it didn't matter as long as he got Ciels soul in the end.

*Time skip*

Ciel was in his office trying to get some piece and quiet, it was dark out and Ciel didn't have any candles lit leaving the room in darkness as well, his elbows rested on his desk his head in his hands. Since Sebastian had been out fulfilling his orders all day, the other servants had been catering to his needs, nothing was done, and the manor was a complete mess.

If he was being honest not much of his own work had been done, his mind was too busy wondering and fretting over other things. To start with, he was worried over his sister. No, he couldn't remember her but she was still his family and his possible only living close family left, his mind was also trying to wrap around why he couldn't remember her and was trying to bring forth those lost memories.

He was also worried about how long it was taking Sebastian to complete his orders, he wasn't worried for Sebastian, after all he was a demon serving him for his soul, it was the time it was taking him to return that was keeping his mind occupied. He had been gone an entire day, it had never taken him this long to gather information, usually a couple of hours at very most not an entire day.

There was a shift in the room signalling the butlers return, before a smooth voice confirmed it "I'm surprised young master, you usually have such a level head, yet here you are with barely a page of work done"

"And just where the hell have you been? I sent you out on strict order to get information, not to go on holiday!" Ciel jumped up from his chair.

"I apologise young master, but I actually had quite a bit of trouble collecting this data for you. I hope the servants didn't cause you too much trouble" Sebastian moved closer to stand before his masters desk.

"The house is a mess, and I expect it cleaned and fixed. But onto more important matters, what did you find?" Ciel turned away to look out of his large windows behind his desk.

"We're lucky young master, they were only selling off children to two organisations that night. The cult you went to and a highly secretive scientific organisation that claimed to 'unlock the inner self of all humanity' this was where she must have been sold to" Sebastian answered while looking at the pages in his hands.

"And? Do you have anything on this organisation?" Ciel prompted.

"Yes master, that's what took me so long to collect" Sebastian started "they operated in a building just outside of London hidden in a deep forest, they were funded by rich nobles and all is there experiments were completely illegal and looking at the files very inhumane."

"Well then let's go, my sister needs me and I'm not waiting a second longer" Ciel turned around to grab his gun.

"That's just it my young master" Sebastian said making Ciel stop "the building is abandoned, the organisation disappeared one day and the building was left in ruins, it's very unstable and could collapse at any second. Not only that but I looked into some of the patrons, there slowly being killed off by someone who wants to keep the organisation a secret most likely. There are only three families left in London that are still alive."

Ciel thought in silence for a minuet while staring down his butler "I assume you have the information and locations of those noble families still alive?" Sebastian nodded slightly "we'll go to them first with my family picture to see if them know anything about what happen to the organisation and (Y/N) if nothing comes of it we'll go to the building. If it does collapse, you'll keep me safe. Prepare my carriage we head out immediately."

Sebastian bowed a dangerous smile on his face "yes, my young lord" he then walked from the room to instruct one of the servants to prepare the carriage while he dressed Ciel for the outing, ready to head to the rich nobles that funded those operations the both left in the dead of night.
