Smut:A LOT, and i mean a-fucking-lot of smut.
I really absolutely love this fic but I have no idea what rating to give because it is very controversial and even though I've read it like 10 times, it still makes me a tad bit uncomfortable.
I liked the storyline which is a student and a teacher falling in love. What I didn't like is the age difference. Frank in the story is 17 and Gerard is 37, I believe. That, alongside other aspects of the story that I can't discuss because they will spoil it, make me think that the whole thing is based on pedophilia.
At the same time though there are soooo many moments where it is obvious they are actually in love and even the rest of the characters acknowledge said love.
The entire relationship is toxic on both sides. Gerard falling into addictions and treating Frank wrong and Frank not thinking about anyone but himself in many occasions. The whole toxicity situation kind of seems like it is being romanticised but not too much.
The ending straight up killed me but I understand why it had to end this way. In the end, there is a moment where you can see the actual love that existed between the two and that makes me even more confused about the story and its intentions.
In general, the story wasn't very realistic, at least I didn't think it was, but the ending definitely was very real and that's something I really liked. It showed that no matter how you may be feeling about someone, sometimes life has different plans for you and won't allow you to cross paths with that person and you just have to learn to live with that.
