"Hey X, I'm getting dressed right now" Imani said, answering the phone. 2 days have gone by since Xavier and Jayceone were released from jail and Imani hasn't had any contact with Xavier at all.

Usually, whenever she woke up, Xavier would be in her room waiting for her to wake up. Or he'd be downstairs with Sky, waiting for her to wake up. But nun of that happened, and they both missed it.

"Hey Imani, I need to tell you somethin" he sighed loudly as Imani waited for him to finish "I can't make it to dinner tonight, and we have to stop talkin"

"What?" She paused "Xavier, what's wrong?"

"Nothings wrong, but whatever you think we had, its over"

Those words cut Imani to her core and when he didn't say just kidding, she felt tears fill her eyes.

"What?" She whispered, her voice cracking "I'm not und-"

Look, I just wanted to fuck but you taking to long" before Imani could say anything, he spoke again, clearing his throat "Anyway, I got to go" he hung up the phone and Imani felt her heart breaking.

Jayceone sat downstairs on the couch with Sky on his lap as they watched Yo gabba gabba together. "Feed me some grapes Sky"

"No, you had some"

"Yea, but you asked for some and I gave you the rest. Stop being stingy"

"I'm not being stinky. You're being greedy"

Jayceone chuckled "Its stingy Sky"

"I say that" she scrunched up her face then turned back towards the TV. "Can I have ice cream please?"

"Yea, go get your shoes and we'll go" he stood up from the couch and walked up the stairs to see if Imani wanted ice cream, when he heard her crying on the other side of the door.

He knocked and pushed the door open slowly to see his sister sitting Indian style on the bed with her head down.

Her hair was in a tight bun and she had on a red fitted dress with a see through back. Her shoes were on the floor in front of her.

"Mani, Wassup? What's wrong?" He closed the door behind him and sat on the bed next to her. She ignored his question as the tears continued to fall in her lap. "Imani, talk to me"

"I was getting ready for my date tonight with Xavier, when he called" she sniffed loudly and wiped her tears, but they kept falling "He said we have to stop talking and hanging out, and the only thing he wanted from me was sex but I took too long"

"Niggas stay tryin me" Jayceone mumbled. He pulled Imani into a hug as she cried on his shoulder "Stop cryin over that nigga Mani, he's not worth it"

"But I thought he really liked me. He's been trying to take me out since 9th grade and when I finally decide to open up to him, he does this"

"That's just goes to show, niggas will do and say whatever it takes to get what they want. You fucked him?"

She shook her head.

"Good, cause I already want to fuck him up." They siblings sat in silence for awhile "Come out and get ice cream with Sky and I. You'll feel better".

"Ok, let me change and get my money"

"Nope, just change. I'm paying" Jayceone stood up and walked towards the door when Imani stopped him "Yea"

"Thank you" she smiled.

"Ain't nothin" he smiled back.
