"This is so beautiful" Sydney said, looking at the view. Damian stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist "Thank you for bringing me here baby"
"It was nothing mama. You know I gotta keep the love of my life happy"
Sydney blushed and laid her head back against his chest "What you think the kids doing?"
"Don't sorry about that right now. If something bad would've happened, Jay or Imani would've called. This vacation was to take you away from the stress of work and the kids. Besides, we go back in a few days"
Sydney sighed and smiled "You're right"
"Ain't I always?" Damian chuckled "What's the plan for tomorrow?"
"I wanna go swimming. I have a new bathing suit and didn't get to wear it yet"
"Its the gold and black one?" He asked. Sydneg nodded and Damian groaned, grinding his lower half into her. "You gon look so sexy in that"
"Babe" she giggled.
"I might have to tear it off you and take advantage"
"Of?"
Damian's hand moved between Sydney's thighs and he rubbed on her clit slow "This."
She moaned "Damian"
"Its mine mama?" He asked, sucking her neck.
"Yes daddy"
Damian pulled away "I know. Now go change your panties. Nasty ass"
Sydney laughed "Fuck you"
"I know you want to but not now" Damian smirked.
Imani sat in her last period class, writing down everything that was on the board. "Psst" she heard behind her.
Looking back, Xavier is smiling at her. "There's a carnival in town tonight. I have 3 tickets and want you and Sky to come"
Thinking about it, Imani smiled. Its been a few days since she's questioned the feelings she's had for Xavier and found out she does like him. More than a friend.
"OK, pick us up at 7"
"Just like that?" Xavier asked. Usually it'd take longer for her to agree. Imani nodded "You sure?"
"Yea X. I'm sure"
He smiled to himself and asked to go to the bathroom. Walking out, Xavier runs into Lona. Her eyes are red and puffy, like she's been crying.
"What's wrong Lona?" Xavier asked.
She shook her head and put on a fake smile "Nothing, I'm fine"
"Lona"
She sighed and wiped the tears from her eyes. Turning around, she lifted her shirt and showed Xavier the bruises on her back. "Please don't tell anyone"
" Who did that?" He asked. No reply "Parents?". No reply "Family member?" No reply "Robert?"
"Please don't tell Jay" she cried.
"Naw fuck that. I'm telling him. That nigga hitting you and you wanna keep it a government secret? Hell Naw. Next time that nigga step to you, call me. You understand?"
Lona nodded and walked off to class.
Lona and Xavier have known each other since freshman year and at first, Lona would protect Xavier because everyone would tease him. But that all stopped in 10th grade when his looks and body came in.
Now the roles are reversed. Xavier is now protecting Lona from Robert.
Lona walked to class slowly, trying yo get herself together. Nobody knows about Robert and his fits except her and now Xavier. Its been going on since they started dating. Lona would've broke it off right away, but Robert would threaten to kill her and says he owns her every time she did. Believing he would, she stayed.
"Lona" a voice from behind her. She already knew it was Jayceone. She turned to face him and smiled "Wassup baby girl. I ain't see you this morning"
"I came late" she said. Jayceone hugged her tight, and Lona pushed off because of the pain.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing. Its just uh- nothing"
"Come here then" he grabbed her hand and entwined their fingers. "Beyond the lights came out yesterday and I know how bad you wanted to see it. You wanna go tonight?"
Lona smiled and nodded "Yea we could do that"
"Alright. I'll pick you up at 7"
Lona smiled and turned to walk off, not knowing the back of her shirt was slightly raised, showing a small portion of the purple bruise.
"The fuck is that?" Jayceone asked, pulling her shirt all the way up.
