Xavier walked inside from work and locked the door behind him. He could hear a conversation in the living room, but only his dad was talking "Yea, I got somebody that can get all that information for" he said before hanging up.

Standing up from the couch, he looked at Xavier and put on an uneasy smile "Wassup dad"

"Wassup son, when you'd get home?"

"Just now, mom here?"

"No, she went out" his dad shrugged. Xavier shook his head and chuckled, knowing she was out with that man. "So u still with Imani huh?"

Hearing her name brought a smile to Xavier's face "Yea"

"U close with her parents?"

"Um, yea I'd think so. Its cool if I go over there for the night?"

"Cool with me, but do me a favor. Keep an eye out on Damian for me" he said, putting his hands in his pockets "It's something about him"

"Imani's dad? He's cool pops, no reason to worry about him" he made his way towards the stairs when he heard his phone ring.

Pulling it from his pocket, its Imani. "Wassup baby"

"How was work?" She asked, chewing on her gum.

"Long and tiring. It's cool if I come through?"

"Of course, u know my parents love u"

"Cool, I'll be there in a few"

"Ok" Imani giggled, hanging up the phone. Xavier chuckled and packed his duffle bag of clothes before going back downstairs and hearing some of his dads phone conversation again.

"My sons close with their daughter" he said, in almost a whisper "I'm not sure, but I can find out" the conversation ended and Xavier cleared his throat.

"What can u find out pops?"

"Grown folks buisness"

"That involves Imani's parents?"

"Aren't u suppose to be leaving?" His dad asked with annoyance in his voice. Grabbing his keys, Xavier walked outside to his car and drove to what felt like home.

Lona wiped off the last few tables before closing up the shop and walking out to her car. The light breeze blew passed her as a feeling crept into her stomach.

Footsteps came behind her as she stood in front of the shop, waiting for Jayceone to pick her up. As the footsteps grew louder, Lona turned to face them as she called Jayceone. "Your telling on me again?" Robert smirked, his hands in his pockets.

Choosing to ignore him, she started walking along the side walk "I'm down the street baby, I didn't forget" Jayceone answered.

"Roberts here" her voice cracking as Robert called out her name teasingly.

"The fuck? Ok, stay on the phone. I'm almost there"

Whistling and light laugher came from behind her as her pace quickened "Lona" Robert dragged out "Come here baby, I won't hurt u"

"Jay, please hurry" before she could say anything else, her arm was roughly grabbed making her phone fall to the floor. Lona screamed from the pain "Please, don't hurt me" she cried.

"I'd never hurt u baby, I love you" Robert said "But u don't love me"

"No, I do baby. I love you" she said, hoping he'd just let her go "With all my h-" a hand came hard across her face, sending her to the concrete.

"Lie again bitch" he pulled a gun from his waistband, and pointed if down at her "U had them niggas come after me. So for what they did to me, your gonna pay for"

And with no remorse, Robert sent 3 shots into her body before taking off. Jayceone sat on the phone, and listened to the entire thing.

Pressing harder on the gas, he hopped out the car when he was at the shop and ran towards the sidewalk, where Lona's body laid in a pool of blood.
