The landlord opened the front door of the apartment, allowing Jayceone and Lona to walk in first.

"This isn't like the last apartment I showed. This isn't a studio, and the bedroom is a nice size. Something u two might like"

"Can we look around?" Lona asked.

"Sure, I'll be right outside when your done" the landlord walked outside, leaving Jayceone and Lona alone.

First walking into the kitchen, Lona ran her hand over the granite counters and smiled to herself. Jayceone walked into the bedroom and looked in the closet. It was divided into 2 sides and under where the clothes would hang was shelves for the shoes.

They ended up meeting out on the patio and looked at the view "I didn't know we were close by the beach" Lona said.

"Yea, I remember u sayin u like the view of the water so why not" he shrugged as a smile spread across his lips "U like this place?"

"Your asking for my opinion?" She looked up at him. He nodded, throwing his arm over her shoulder and kissing her jawline "And its only a few miles away from the beach and most the collages I applied too"

"That's a yes?"

Lona nodded, turning around and kissing his lips. Jayceone kissed her back and lifted her onto the railing "Please don't drop me" wrapping her arms around his neck, Lona held on tight.

"Never baby, u ready to go find your car after this?"

"Yeap, and I'm excited too. It'll feel good to finally buy something with my own money"

"What kind of car u looking for? I'm sure a pink car would be too expensive" they laughed.

"Imani said Honda's are reliable and good on gas, so I'm swaying towards that but I'm not sure what color" she ran her fingers through the back of his hair.

"White cars are less expensive than any color"

"But it takes a lot to keep it clean"

"The money u save on getting a white car can be used to go through the wash. Duh"

Lona laughed "Oh gosh, shut up."

"I'm just stating facts baby" he chuckled, pecking her lips "Ready to sign these papers and get outta here?"

Lona nodded as Jayceone helped her get off the railing and hand in hand, they met the landlord outside by his car. After signing the papers and giving the down payment, the keys were passed to Jayceone.

"What is it I need to look for with this car?" Lona asked, eating her sour skittles.

"Don't worry about all that, I got u baby. But something u should remember, if the prices seems too good to be true, it probably is"

"Meaning don't expect a 2015 car for $2,000"

"Exactly"

Lona clapped her hands and smiled wide, looking at her white 2006 Honda. It wasn't all that and it wasn't new, but it was hers.

Jayceone opened the driver door and she slid in, putting her seatbelt on "Meet me at the house" he said.

"Ok baby" she pecked his lips and waited until he was in his car before driving off.

Imani walked in her moms room to see her dad sleep and mom laying on his chest, watching TV. "U finished your dress?" Sydney asked, sitting up.

"Yea, I have everything listed and here's Lona's list" Imani passed her mom the papers "Where's this lady and her shop?"

Sydney laughed "I'm making the dresses Imani"

"What?!"

Damian jumped from his sleep and Imani coveted her mouth "The hell u yelling for?" He mumbled, laying back down "Its too late for all that"

"Its 4 in the afternoon daddy" Imani laughed a little "But momma, u serious? Can u even sew?"

"There's a lot of things about your momma u don't know" Damian said "A lot of things "

"Damian shut up, why u always bein nasty?" Damian waved her off "Anyway, yes I can sew and u just watch. These dresses will be amazing"

Imani laughed a little "I hope so, I'll leave y'all alone" turning and walking out the room, she walked into Sky's room "Pumpkin butt" she called, pushing the door open.

Sky laid on her bed and was cuddling with her bear, sleeping. "Sky, u want ice cream?" She didn't budge or even open her eyes "U must be really tired then"

Imani walked out Sky's room and went to her room and started getting dressed for work. After she got out the shower and put on her pants, her phone rang. Xavier

"Hey babe" she smiled, putting the phone on speaker.

"Wassup beautiful, what u doin?"

"Getting dressed for work. I work till closing tonight" she pulled on her shirt.

"Damn, I was tryin to come through tonight"

"U still can, just wait for me"

"Iight cool, but I'm not stayin the night this time, I need to help momma out around the house. Just to come spend time with u"

"Well how about this" Imani pulled her hair into a ponytail "I come stay the night at your place"

The line grew quiet "Yea, that's cool. So I'll see u around 10?"

"See u around 10"

"Love you beautiful, and bring me my box of honey buns I left over there. If u didn't eat it yet"

Imani laughed "I didn't eat them, and I love you too"
