It had been two days since the blow-up at Marks house. Ten isolated himself in his house, making no contact with the outside world. Lucas was still there smothering him though, never leaving his side in fear of Ten relapsings again. Which he didn't; this is Tens four day streak of not doing any drugs. It's not a record, but it has been a while since he has gone this long. As each day passes Ten seems to get worse.

His muscles ached throughout his whole body and he was tired all of the time. It didn't make sense because Ten had been doing nothing. He has just been holed up in his room hiding from the light. In a cold sweat, he through his blankets off of him only to put them back over his body as he got cold quickly.

"Are you going to get up today?" Asked Lucas, who appeared in Ten's room once again today.

Ten had gotten used to Lucas just popping in whenever he wanted too. He'd instead him use doors and knock like a regular person but Lucas wasn't just an ordinary person. Ten didn't answer his questions. He only grumbled in response.

"Come on, Ten," Lucas said, opening the blinds letting in all of the sunlight that Ten hated.

The tears streamed down Ten's face as he left Mark's house. He felt stupid at the scene he had just caused. The walk home felt much longer on the way back. His breathing was rigid as he was trying to calm himself down.

"Are- Are you okay? Human Ten?"

Lucas had been walking beside him the walk home he hadn't said a word until now. Ten didn't want to see him anymore, he was two meltdowns away from checking himself into a hospital. Ten didn't understand anything anymore, he felt way disoriented than he usually did.

"Do I look okay?"

Lucas didn't respond as fast as he usually did, he shook his head looking at Ten with big eyes.

"Why would you do that to me?" Ten asked he turned his head to look at him.

There was still no response to his question but Lucas looked like he conflicted in his mind. Lucas's eyebrows furrowed at Tens teary eyes and his lips went into a frown.

"Why wouldn't you show yourself to him?" Ten charged, "you made me look like a crazy person in front of my friend, Lucas."

"I'm not allowed to do that," Lucas's head fell "I'm sorry, I don't mean to hurt you."

It was Ten's turn now to be silent. He only rolled his eyes at the statement. To say that he was embarrassed was an understatement. The warmth in his cheeks never quit but his body felt sluggish. The rest of the walk home was quiet.

"Leave me alone," He turned his body so his back faced Lucas.

The tension in the air was thick, or maybe it was just Ten. It had been like this ever since they had left Mark's house. Ten was nauseous at the thought. Or he was sick to his stomach because he was going through withdrawals. Either way, Ten felt like shit physically and mentally.

"Are you going to eat today?"

"Not hungry."

That wasn't a complete lie, he was hungry but his appetite was down the drain. He didn't think he could keep any food down at the moment. Soon enough he would feel better. Then he could be closer to getting rid of Lucas, he thought.

The angel sighed at the sorry excuse of a man that was under the covers. Lucas felt like he was trying so hard but nothing was working.

"Think of it this way Ten," Lucas started. "When you do something good, good things happen to you."

"Are you really explaining karma to me right now?"

"Listen, you did bad things. So this pain you're feeling is just the effect of what you did before."

The way Lucas explained that to him just made Ten more irritated. He couldn't think of a comeback as the muscles in his stomach contracted. He rolled over in pain and cried out.

"So I'm supposed to suffer forever?" Ten stutters out.

Lucas was starting to feel bad. He just looked at Ten with a frown. He hated having to see him like this. His teeth were chattering but he was sweating to death. Lucas was torn, should he leave and have Ten deal with it himself? Or should he stay and fix it?

"Ten, I am not supposed to do this but," Lucas said as he bent down to Ten's level. He quickly looked up and muttered a quick prayer before taking the covers off of Ten.

"What are you-"

Ten was cut off with Lucas' lips on his. His eyes widened but then closed as Lucas's big hand was placed on Ten's chest. The kiss was soft, just like everything else about Lucas. The feeling it brought to him was the opposite of the actual touch. As cliché as it sounds, kissing Lucas felt magical.

Light flowed from his hand making Ten comfortably warm. His white hair glowed. Ten was feeling much better as Lucas's kiss healed him. Just as he closed his eyes the angel pulled away.

Ten sighed in relief as his pain was gone. They both looked anywhere but each other. Lucas's eyes were planted on the ceiling and Ten found the wall very interesting.

"Um, thanks?"

"Now go eat," Lucas said. He then left with a gust of wind. Leaving Ten alone in his room.

Maybe he should. His appetite was back and he felt like he could run a marathon. He wouldn't though.

Ten sprung up from his bed and made his way to his kitchen. He silently prepared some gourmet ramen. After a long day of pain and suffering, he ate a meal. He also had the most amazing sleep he has ever had since the womb.
