"Wake up, Ten."
Ten startled awake to see Taeyongs reddened eyes above him. He groaned and turned over on the couch.
"Or at least move a little."
Ten obliged and moved his legs up so Taeyong could sit down. After he felt the shift of the couch he moved his legs back over to rest on Taeyongs thighs. He missed the warmth of Lucas, he wished they had fallen asleep on his bed.
Nevertheless, Ten had to wake up at some point. He groaned as he sat the rest of the way up. He looked over to Taeyong who was relaxing on the couch, his eyes were closed and he had a small smile on his face.
"Did you sleep good?" Taeyong mumbled.
"Really good."
Taeyong hummed at the response, Ten wondered if he was even listening. In Taeyongs blissed-out state, was he even going to remember this? Ten wondered how he'd react if he told him about Lucas.
"Hey, Taeyong?"
"Yea?"
"I have to tell you something," Ten said looking at Taeyong who only nodded. "I've been sent down a guardian angel."
Ten figured he should just get straight to the point, Taeyong would either remember this or he wouldn't. Ten had a good chance of getting out of this if he wanted to.
"Haha, what?" Taeyong giggled, he looked over to Ten with squinted eyes.
He didn't seem to believe Ten, but he didn't scrutinize him for it either. Ten hoped he wouldn't remember any of this conversation. Saying it out loud sure does make him seem crazy, this is just a chance to get it off of his chest.
"About a month ago, a literal angel came down, and now he is helping me."
Ten laughed at his own statement, he didn't know how to word it better so this is what Taeyong gets. Taeyong looked like he couldn't grasp the idea of angels being real at this point. Ten wouldn't either if he was in Taeyongs position.
"He has actually helped me get clean, I've been sober for about two weeks now."
Taeyong raised his eyebrows at that, his red eyes widened when he looked at Ten.
"Wow, dude," he exasperated. "I'm proud of you."
"Thanks," Ten smiled at him.
"I don't care how you got to that point angel or not, I'm glad you're sober," Taeyong slurred. "I would do that, but I'm having too much fun."
Taeyong went into a fit of giggles and that caused Ten to join in as well.
"You're not going to remember any of this are you?" Ten asked.
Taeyong stopped laughing to look at Ten, "Haha, nope."
He and Taeyong started to laugh again. Ten felt like a weight was lifted off of his shoulders. This is the second time he has told someone about Lucas but this is the first time he feels accepted.
"The rest of my friends think I'm crazy," Ten said. "Do you think I'm crazy?"
"No way!" Taeyong said. "You are perfect to me."
Taeyong smiled and then mumbled something else before his head fell onto Ten's shoulder. Ten patted his head and smiled, he knew even if Taeyong was sober he would still believe him.
"Taeyong?"
There was no answer, he must have fallen asleep. Ten softly let him down onto the couch to rest. He draped a blanket over his sleeping friend.
"Goodnight."
