"Ten, someone is calling you."

Ten blinked his eyes, Lucas was holding his phone right in his face. Mark was calling him? At nine in the morning? Ten quickly took his phone and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Oh did I wake you?" Mark said, a little too happy at this early.

"Yea, but its fine," Ten said rubbing his eyes. "What's up?"

"Oh, I just wanted to say sorry," Mark started. "For what happened at my house. I didn't react the right way, and I-"

"It's fine, Mark I really don't want to think about it."

"Right! Yea, I'm sorry."

"We are all good, you're one of my best friends, Mark," Ten sighed.

"Yea! We are, don't be afraid to come over again," The other said, "You're welcome anytime."

"Of course,"

There was a pause. Not too long for it to be awkward but long enough to know the conversation was over.

"Ok Mark, I'm going to go," Ten announced.

"Yep, bye!"

With that, the phone call was over. Ten flopped back onto his bed with a sigh. He had planned to sleep in but now he can't go back to bed. He scrolled on his phone for a while and he noticed that he had way more notifications than usual. There were many unread text messages from old friends. He didn't want to respond to them. At least not yet anyway.

Lucas was also being oddly quiet today. Usually, he always has something to say. There wasn't much tension between them, the air was calm in Ten's bedroom. The angel just laid at the end of the bed staring up at the ceiling. He looked deep in thought which was way different than his usual innocent eyes.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Ten nosily asked.

"You," Lucas plainly said, eyes never leaving the ceiling.

Ten's face contorted. "Oh."

"Not just you though, your kind in general," Lucas stared again. "I think humankind is fascinating. Don't get me wrong you guys can be dumb sometimes, but the connections you make with other people are amazing."

Ten stopped scrolling through his phone to give Lucas a short glare. He didn't see it as he was still facing up to the ceiling.

"And the assumptions you make about how life is created. There are many interesting myths you guys made up."

Ten agreed with that statement but he wouldn't say it out loud to him.

"But, I really don't understand how you guys have made it this far with all the petty disagreements that started wars. Don't even get me started on how bad you are polluting this place, half of you guys don't even listen to science!" Lucas said with a laugh.

Ten awkwardly laughed with him, he didn't know how to respond.

"Anyways, I'm not here for that. I am here for you, Ten." He said looking the human in the eyes. "I will support you until you do not need me anymore."

"Wow," Ten took that statement to the heart. It has been a while since someone has said that and actually meant it.

Ten felt the bed shift as Lucas moved from his position. Lucas lifted the covers and smoothly slid his way next to Ten. The smaller looked at him funny but he didn't stop him. Lucas then softly grabbed at Ten's waist and pulled him close, engulfing him into his larger body. He was tense but Lucas didn't pull away.

"What are you doing?"

"I think this would help," Lucas's voice was muffled as he buried his face in the back of Ten's neck.

"Um, okay?" Ten slowly melted into Lucas's touch. The warm feeling of his body pressed against the other made his heart beat faster. Lucas didn't comment on his rising heartbeat, he only snuggled in closer.

I could get used to this.

A loud buzzing came from Ten's phone, interrupting the moment. Ten sighed and grabbed his phone to see that Taeyong was calling him. Lucas removed his arms from around Ten's waist.

"Hey, baby, me and a couple of my friends are going to the bar to hang," Taeyong said through the phone.

"Umm, I don't know if I should," Ten said glancing over to Lucas who only smiled at him.

"Oh please?" Taeyong whined. "It'd be much better if you were there."

Ten could hear the pout through the phone. "Maybe, but I can't get too crazy tonight, okay?"

He didn't want to stay inside all day, maybe he could get some air. Some Lucas free air. Ten looked over to the angel again to see him facing the ceiling again. His expression was neutral.

"I don't think you should go," Lucas said in a monotone voice.

"I think I should."

"Oh, who's with you?" Taeyong asked.

Ten almost forgot he was on the phone with Taeyong.

"Uh, it's just my friend."

"Well, they can come if they want too, the more the merrier!"

He shook his head forgetting that Taeyong can't see him.

"No, they are good," Ten said grimacing at Lucas.

"Okay, I'll see you there," Taeyong replied.

"See ya, Bye." Ten said as he hung up the phone.

Lucas turned his head to finally look at Ten.

"I'm coming with you."

"No you're not," Ten snapped back

"Yes I am," He said in the exact tone Ten used.

"No!"

"I'm just going to make sure you're okay!"

"Ugh fine," Ten groaned.
