Ten could not go into the hospital room with Taeyong. He begged the nurses to let him stay, but they wouldn't let him. Here he was now, in the waiting room of the hospital. He felt restless, if he had been home this wouldn't have happened. Or so he thought.

"Ten?" A voice emerged from the double doors that lead into the hospital rooms.

He shot up from his seat, feeling dizzy from the blood rushing in his head.

"He is awake," the nurse said. "If you want to see him."

Ten quickly nodded at the nurse and then proceeded to follow her no questions asked. He followed her through down the long hallway, the white fluorescent lights making Ten have a headache.

"This is it, he is still weak so be mindful."

Ten thanked the nurse and then headed into the room. There lied Taeyong on the hospital bed. His face was pale, he looked so small compared to the bed he was sunken in. His eyes were closed, the nurse said he was awake, maybe he fell back asleep. Ten quickly pulled a chair next to the bed. He sat down and took Taeyongs hand in his.

His hands were pale and cold against Ten's warm shaking ones. Ten pulled the blanket farther up for Taeyong to get warmer.

"I'm so glad you are ok," Ten said lightly squeezing his hand.

There was no response, it worried Ten but he knew he was just sleeping. The steady beep of the machine and the short breaths from Taeyong grounded Ten into calming down.

He suddenly heard a labored cough coming from the bed. He looked up, his eyes wide as he watched Taeyong slowly wake up.

"Taeyong?"

The other blinked his eyes open a few times and looked around him. Taeyong looked confused looking around the room but once he met Ten's gaze it softened into a more neutral state.

"I lived, bitch," Taeyong choked out. He raised his other hand that was under the covers, he lifted it towards Ten.

"Oh my god," Ten said smiling, and then leaned in to give him a hug, lightly of course.

"How are you feeling?"

"Like shit," Taeyong coughed out. "My throat hurts."

"Well at least you are okay," Ten mumbled into Taeyongs shoulder.

"Yea," Taeyong said. "I swear I didn't mean to, do that."

"It's okay," Ten said looking at Taeyong. "You don't have to talk about it, I understand."

"It was just so weird," Teyong started. "I normally don't take that much at a time."

Ten nodded at him, he knows how you can easily lose track of things when you're under the influence of anything.

"A lot has been weird recently."

"Exactly, one minute I was conscious and the next I wake up in a hospital," Taeyong stated. "I don't even remember what I took."

Ten furrowed his eyebrows at that, that's not Taeyongs usual behavior. He quickly brushed it off, it doesn't matter what or how much he took. As long as Taeyong is okay now.

The door to the room opened, in walked what looked like a doctor. She had the usual lab coat and scrubs on.

"Hello, how are you feeling?" The doctor said holding a clipboard.

"Not the greatest."

"That's normal after what you went through," the doctor stated, writing some things down. "We want to keep you here for extra monitoring, okay?"

Taeyong nodded at her, the doctor then looked at Ten.

"You should get some sleep, you must be tired," She said to Taeyong.

Ten took that as his cue to leave. Taeyong did need rest so he stood up from the chair.

"I'll see you soon, okay?" Ten said.

"Okay."

With that Ten left the hospital room. He headed out and made his way back to the apartment. He thought about how it'll be alone in the apartment. Even if Taeyong wasn't there all the time, it felt nice to remember that he would always come back for the night.

Taeyong wouldn't be gone for long, however, the longest he'd stay at the hospital was a week or so. Ten can manage the apartment alone for a week. He suddenly remembered that technically he wouldn't be alone. He had Lucas, even though he disappeared for most of the day.

Thinking about Lucas brought mixed feelings to Ten. He was so happy that Lucas was there for him, but when he remembered that he wouldn't help Taeyong his mood went sour. He was grateful for all of the things Lucas had done for him so he quickly reminded himself that Lucas is helping and he also has a set of rules.

He opened the door to the apartment and finally let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Looking around, the apartment was a mess. He didn't feel like cleaning at the moment. Instead, he went into his room. Which was also a mess but that was a problem for another day.

There sat Lucas on his bed, this time Ten didn't flinch when he appeared in his room.

"Is Taeyong okay?" Lucas asked.

"Oh so now you care?" Ten scoffed at him. Ten wasn't mad at Lucas, he was just the tiniest bit of salty.

"I do care, Ten," Lucas said looking down.

Ten didn't respond, he just laid down on his bed, getting under the covers. He felt Lucas do the same and the angel pressed himself against Ten. He felt the small feeling of euphoria, that always comes when Lucas is close to him.

"I'm sorry, I wish I could be better for you," Lucas mumbled against the back of Ten's neck sending shivers down his spine.

"You are enough for me, Lucas," Ten said, he felt bad for the angel. He was just a little petty after all that has happened. "More than enough."

Lucas didn't respond to him, but he felt the angel smile on his neck. That, in turn, made him smile as well.
