Emily parked her car outside of her house. The girls sat there for a moment, silence between them. Could it have really been just a few hours since they last kissed? It felt like a life time to Emily, as they got out of the car. The girls made their way into the house, and Emily found a note on the kitchen table in her mother's scrawled handwriting.

Em,
Gone out, be back by dinner.
Love,
Mum x

Emily nodded to herself, disposing of the note. Hanna had gone into the front room, and was sat on the sofa. Emily went in, and sat beside her.

"Han, what's wrong?" Emily asked, wanting to get to the point quickly so she could help as much as possible. For a moment, Hanna stayed quiet. Then she got out her phone, and scrolled through a list of texts. Finally, she came to the text off a blocked number, and showed her screen to Emily. Emily skimmed the words, and then gasped. She looked at Hanna, and then clicked on the picture. She saw her and Hanna mid lip lock, and gasped again.

Then all of a sudden, Emily was holding Hanna, and Hanna buried her head in Emily's chest. A few tears trickled down Hanna's cheeks, and formed a patch on Emily's t-shirt. But Emily didn't mind.

"It's okay." She promised, stroking Hanna's back soothingly. Hanna stopped crying, and wiped her eyes.

"I got tears and snot all over you." She said, her voice tiny. She began to wipe at the wet patch on Emily's t-shirt, but Emily took both of Hanna's hands in her own.

"Stop. Stop being miserable because A thinks they can get away with this. I love you, okay? And I don't care who knows. Not A, not your dad, not our friends. I just want you, and I want you to be comfortable." Emily explained, all the while looking into Hanna's eyes. Suddenly, Hanna took Emily's face and kissed her.

At first, Emily was shocked. She wasn't expecting this. But soon she let her mushy romantic feelings take over and almost immediately she was kissing Hanna back with equal enthusiasm. However, the girls needed air, so they broke apart, panting.

"I love you." Emily reminded Hanna, pulling her closer to her.

"I love you." Hanna replied, before they began kissing again.

Emily's mother came home to find the girls in the kitchen, cooking their dinner. Hanna had turned up the radio, and they were dancing around. Emily was singing in her soft voice, and Hanna was wailing like a dying animal.

"Hanna, dear, as much as I love the fact you two are enjoying yourself, we have neighbours." Mrs Fields reminded her, and Hanna's cheeks blushed a crimson red.

"Yeah, but they're either stoners or deaf, so what's the point?" Emily asked, making Hanna giggle. They made eye contact, and Emily gave Hanna a look that said 'as soon as we get upstairs'. Mrs Fields gave out a laugh before helping the girls finish off the food.

All three of them sat down to eat, and casual conversation flowed easily. Mrs Fields spoke about the women at the shops, who were bickering about prices and God knows what else. Emily spoke about how she broke her swim record by half a second, and Hanna spoke about some modeling job she was signing up for. Her mother's idea, of course.

Suddenly, Hanna got a text. She excused herself, and went into the hall to check her phone.

Tom: Hey, Hanna. So, I was hoping you were still up for lunch tomorrow? What do you say? x

Hanna thought about it. Quality time with her dad, and no Kate. But then again, she was missing out on a day of lounging around with Emily in their most comfortable pyjamas, cuddling and kissing and chilling. She did a quick eenie meenie miney mo in her head, and it landed on her dad. But she switched to Emily. Then back to her dad. Finally, she texted him back.

Hanna: sure, I'll meet you at home in the morning x

And when she pressed send, she felt a rush of giddiness she got every time she was going out with her dad. But then she remembered the text from A, and the giddiness turned to dread.
