It was a quiet evening in the Divit mansion as Huma paced around her luxurious study, her mind racing with schemes and plots. The thought of her stepson Jan's budding romance with Sanem irked her to no end. If that relationship grew deeper, Sanem could potentially bear an heir - and that would give Jan the upper hand against her own son, Emre.Huma knew she had to act fast. With a sly grin, she summoned Emre to her study. "My dear son," she cooed, her voice dripping with false sweetness. "I have an important matter to discuss with you."
Emre entered the room, his expression stoic. He knew better than to trust his mother's saccharine tone. "What is it, Mother?"
"I've been thinking about the future of our family's legacy," Huma began, settling into her plush armchair. "And I believe I've found the perfect solution to secure your position as the sole heir."
She proceeded to explain her plan - for Emre to marry Burkhan's daughter, a beautiful young woman who would provide him with a son and heir. "Then you can do as you please with the marriage," Huma said dismissively. "Have affairs, cheat on your wife - it matters not, as long as you have an heir."
Aiyleen, when heard this from Emre, chuckled, her naked figure heaving up on the bed as she blew out a puff of smoke. "Your mother isn't entirely wrong, you know."
Emre's face darkened. "She is a whore. You want me to dance on her tunes?"
"But her point is right. You should marry that girl if she seems to be valuable for you," Aiyleen said, running her hand along his chest.
Emre frowned. "Don't be ridiculous. I want to start a future with you. The only woman I want to marry is you."
"But you know that's not possible. Even your mother won't agree with that," Aiyleen replied, a hint of malice in her voice.
"Then what do you want me to do? You know I love you so much," Emre said, looking up at Aiyleen with pleading eyes. "I still remember the day I was hit by a truck and my left side of the body was greatly damaged. My both kidneys were damaged, and you gave me one of yours to save my life." He pulled her closer as Aiyleen smirked.
"I know the world is ready to give you a character certificate, but I cannot. I owe you my life," Emre continued, his voice filled with gratitude.
"You must have said the same to Leila," Aiyleen emphasized, smiling cruelly. Emre's nose scrunched in disdain. "It was the same day I discovered about Leila cheating on me. The day I had the accident."
"Don't forget, she is now our new puppet," Aiyleen said, her voice dripping with malice. Emre nodded, resting his head on her bosom.
"Listen, Emre," Aiyleen said, her tone softening. "I want you to marry that girl your family is forcing you to."
"Aiyleen, stop it!" Emre exclaimed, his eyes widening in shock. "How can you ask me to marry someone else when I love you with all my heart?"
Aiyleen placed a finger on his lips, silencing him. "Emre, my dear, this is not about what we want. This is about what we need to do to survive." She sighed, her expression turning somber. "Our lives have become a tangled web of deceit and manipulation. We've made choices that have put us in this predicament, and now we must do what is necessary to ensure our safety."
Emre opened his mouth to protest, but Aiyleen continued. "I know it's not fair, but you must trust me. Marrying this girl could be the key to our freedom. With her family's influence, we could escape the clutches of our enemies and start anew, together."
"Aiyleen, you can't be serious," Emre said, his brow furrowed in frustration. "Marry that woman? Use her and her father for my own gain?"
Aiyleen's eyes glinted with a cunning edge. "I'm not jesting, Emre. This is our path to power and security. Her father is a magistrate - think of the influence and resources we could gain by aligning with them."
