I sat in the living room as I waited for chuck to arrive, we had both planned on getting my wedding gown today, the marriage had been set for next month. One way or the other my mom had successfully charmed me into agreeing on getting married next month.
I heard a gentle knock on the door, I furiously jumped out of the chair I sat on to open the door. It was chuck, my facial expression showed how angry I was.
"Why are you coming now!!, I've been waiting for hours!"
"sorry dear, it was work issues" he responded giving me a quick kiss on the lips.
"can we go now, my lady"
"yes, whatever " I replied bluntly

Chuck and I arrived at one of Los Angeles most expensive designer store, I was stunned when we arrived.
Everything about the shop looked magical, it was one of the most talked about store with the best wedding gowns and it was highly ranked in the fashion industry.
When we both got into the store a young lady wearing a Cream A-line gown, with nude stiletto approached us with her golden blonde hair wrapped to the back.
She majestically walked towards us and spoke with a British accent."Good Afternoon and welcome, I'm sure you're here for a wedding gown, follow me"
She led us straight into a private room, offering us a seat.
"Thank you" I said as I took a sit
"so would you like to see our already made wedding gowns or would you want your gown to be customized"
"well the wedding is really close so I don't think we could get a customized gown" I said with a grin on my face, I knew getting a customized gown would cost a fortune.
"oh no, that is no bother, we can always customize your gown, if you give us an idea of what you'd want by next week or weekend your gown would be ready"
"the wedding is in a month time, you can get a customized gown, you both should work on how the gown would look like, money isn't a problem" chuck said as he adjusted his suit and got up.
"I'll be right back, let me get us something to eat" he said
"okay"
After minutes of deliberation I finally gave her an idea of how I would want my gown to be like.
I didn't ask for anything fancy, I only asked for what I knew Joel would like to see me wear, i knew it wasn't right for me to be thinking of another man, but Joel was always going to remain in my heart no matter what.
Chuck finally arrived with some Chinese food in his hands, the young lady takes us to pay half of the money in advance.
The total cost was $40000, $5000 extra charges were to make sure the gown was delivered before two weeks.
I was really shocked I thought I would hear something cheaper. As I had demanded for nothing extravagant, I could imagine how much she would charge if I had asked her to place gold on the gown.
"thanks for your patronage" she said politely
"Thank you" I replied her.
Chuck and I were about getting into the car when I received a call from detective Robles asking me to drop by the station.
"Chuck could you please take me to the police station?"
"Okay"
Chuck and I had arrived at the police station, it seemed detective robles had been waiting for me. The way he looked at me when I had arrived made me feel like he had ascertained something new.
"I'm here" I said as I hurried towards him
"Please follow me" he responded wearied
We both went into an interrogation room leaving chuck behind.
After we got into the room I slowly took a sit I felt really uneasy with the whole situation.
I asked myself why I was been called into the interrogation room.
Detective Robles stood infront of me agitated and dissapointed.
"Miss Scott you better start telling me what you know about your boyfriend's death" he exclaimed with a face full of frustration.
"Better start talking!!" he hits the top of the office desk as he shrieks at me, his voice sounded so harsh and scary at that moment.
My body shaken with fear, I got really startled from the accusations my mouth had got short of words both my lips glued together with both eyes shining out like a torch light.
My arms started shaking in fear, my palms felt so slippery from the sweat. I had never been accused of such, the look on detective robles got me frightened, he looked really furious.
"I can see you're short of words, you've finally been cought"
"wwwwhhhhat! " I stuttered
I panicked for a moment, but I knew I had to bring things together if not I'll be going in for someone else's crime.
"I didn't do anything, I'm innocent, where did you get this bullshit from? " I queried him
"if all this is bullshit, then I need you to explain what Brenda's phone was doing in your house days before we got to trace her phone"
"what?" I said flatly
"We traced the previous locations of the phone, and it led us to your house, why? " he demanded
"how should I know, how's that possible, Brenda hasn't been at my house for months"
"why are you lying"
"how am I lying, I'm so confused, I've not even seen her since" I stated raucously
"then tell me why what we saw is different from what you're saying"
"I don't know, I'm confused, see you can check her call log, we've not been in contact for a while"
"sure we are on that " he peered at me furiously
"better not get out of town" he said pointing a finger at me
"why are you treating me like a criminal?" I taunted
"Miss you're free to go now" he mutters without making eye contact with me.
