PLEASE DO VOTE & LEAVE A COMMENT.I was in the kitchen making a burrito putting on a black flip flop, black sweat pant and pink tank top when I heard a knock on the door.
My mom was in the living room relaxing on a recliner as she watched her favorite soap opera
"Allie check who's at the door"
"okay mom" I paced out of the kitchen rushing to the door.
I opened the door quickly, some police officers were at my door they handed over a paper to me.
"what is this?"
I scrolled through the paper, it was a search warrant.
"what?, why do you guys want to search my house"
"Ma'am please let us do our job"
"okay"
The police officers walked into the house in group as they begun their search.
My mom and I stayed downstairs as some police officers went upstairs to continue the search.
"Why did you let them in? " my mom nagged
"I had to, they had a search warrant!" I belted out loud
After a while, a police officer walks down the stairs in a rush holding a pile of paper on his two hands.
"Please who is Marissa Scott" the police officer demands.
"I'm the one" my mom said as she quakes
"can you please explain this receipts, miss I thought you said you haven't been in touch with Brenda" the police officer exclaimed handing over one of the receipt to my mom as he focuses on my direction.
"No I've not" I responded
"mom?" I whispered to my mom to get her to speak up.
My mom became anxious as she begins to pant to the extend that she almost lost her balance.
She placed her hand on her chest it seemed she was having a panic attack, she sits on the couch as she tries regaining herself
"mom what's wrong"
" I have a confession to make "
"mom what is it, tell me"
"Brenda has been threatening me"
"how?? "
"I'm so scared, she might kill you " she said as she started crying
"mom you can trust me, tell me, or is it something you don't want them to hear" I said worried
"No, they have to know, a week after Joel's death Brenda had called me, she said that she needed some money, and I told her that I didn't have any on me, at first she was like okay, the next week she called again and asked for $10000, this time she said that if I didn't send it that she'll kill you, and if I had told you, you wouldn't believe me because of the trust you have for her. I was so scared so I sent the money to her, I thought she wasn't going to ask for more money but she kept asking, I didn't want to loose you" she said crying as she held on to my two hands
"Ma'am if you don't mind could you follow us to the police station, we need you to repeat each and everything you've said"
"Is that necessary?" she said staring into the officer's eyes.
"yes ma'am, it won't take too long"
"okay, If that's the case" she said as wiped off her tears from her cheeks.
When we got to the police station my mom was taken in for questioning, it was really difficult for her as she was so scared.
Her hands were shaking her palms became so sweaty and she started breathing real fast.
She had placed her hands on her mouth all throughout the interrogation.
After a while she got out of the room with detective robles.
"we'll do our possible best to find her, we already made sure she won't be able to get out of town, that's If she doesn't find a different way to get out. You two can go for now, we'll have some police officers to guide your house" detective robles stated
"is that really necessary" she asked
"yes ma'am, very necessary"
"okay then sir see you another day "
"okay"
