On a separate sheet, Mona also outlines how they can make this happen and assurances if something causes them to end the relationship. Always thinking ahead for any possible problems is something Mona always does.

Dolly,

Understanding how you feel deep down about your position at the company, I would like to suggest a possibility.

If we choose to pursue this lifestyle, you will give your notice, and two weeks later can begin being my baby girl full time.

You will move out of your apartment and come live with me full time. Understand anything you wish to keep from your present apartment we can store or put in some of the extra rooms at my house.

I will still have to go into work at least four days a week but can adjust my schedule to work from home on Fridays or Mondays. This way, we will have long weekends of mommy and baby time.

I will support us without you having to get another job. From our conversations, and seeing some of your writing, you seem to have a gift for explaining things in print or online. Your interests are so varied, and I am sure as time goes on will expand even more.

So, while you will not have to be employed, I will require you to write an essay to be published each week. At least five pages long and error-free. On Monday you will choose your topic for the week and write your report. That evening you will tell mommy what you accomplished.

Tuesday, you will edit the piece on your own and with spelling and grammar apps. That evening you will give me your finished copy. I will correct it for any mistakes and return it to you Wednesday morning. You will spend that day making final corrections and send it to me by noon for the final proof.

When I have approved, you will post it to a blog we have created or send it to a publication agreeing to include them in their weekly edition. (We will figure out where it will happen).

Thursday you will start searching for ideas for your next week's essay.

This activity will take up some of the time while I am at work. It will also get you a foot up into such a career, which from your conversations is something you would like to pursue.

Any income from this endeavor will be put in a savings account for you. Along with a monthly contribution from me to the same account. This will build up funds for you if at any time you wish to sever the relationship we are considering.

You will also have chores to do around the house during the day, and other things to keep you occupied during this time.

Think of questions you have and things you would like to discuss for us to have a dialog about what could be ahead.

Mona wonders how Dolly will react to what she has written. But from Dolly's comments in her letter, Mona thinks she will be acceptable to all.

Turning from this diversion, Mona spends her lunch hour catching up on emails and clearing things from her to-do list.

Around three in the afternoon, she texts Dolly, telling her the restaurant she has made reservations at and for Dolly to meet her there at five-thirty. Thinking about not having Dolly at work anymore, Mona realizes she will miss watching Dolly's reaction hearing the chime from Mona and checking her phone for the message. Even from a distance, you can see the joy gushing from Dolly as she does.

Rather than replying, Dolly lifts her head and looks down the hall at Mona at her desk and nods her head as she smiles.
