Miri changed quickly. The fact that Jowan was somehow related to what upset Riku didn't sit well with her. There was something off about those Tolmach twins. Their energy gave her a cold nausea vibe. Unlike anyone else, she had ever met. Coming through the curtain, there was West holding the scared boy and Parlan pouring them both a cup of tea.

"See there is. Everything is ok." West comforted the boy.

The fairy sat down at the table
"Everything is going to be alright Riku. Don't worry." She rubbed his back.

Parlan headed to the door, turning the sign on it to the closed for lunch. He quickly closed it and turned the lock heading back to the table to sit down.

"Ok, spill the beans, Par. What did you overhear." West told him.

Riku stood and transformed into a kitten before jumping back into West arms. The prince cradled him like a baby.

"Well, yesterday afternoon I heard the twins come back from their morning creep." He poured his tea. "I was getting my alterations pieces ready to bring back to the shop for after lunch clients. That's when I heard the trolls. They were laughing that scheming laugh of theirs.
I heard them talking about a bridge and a picnic. There was some about henchmen and Elvenguard too. I couldn't hear many details. But I know Jowan was enjoying tormenting Gaira about not having a crown."

"Picnic and a bridge huh?" West said as he lightly rocked Riku in his arms. The boy had calmed and was fast asleep.

"Yes, I thought it sounded suspicious to me too after I heard from Javier what happened to you and Miri last night" Parlin sipped his tea.

"How is Javier?" West asked.

"Oh, he is doing grand, Handsome as ever." Parlan giggled gleefully at the thought of his entended "And he adores working with the queen."

"Eso es Bueno, nice. He is perfect for the job, I told Merewyn that myself," the prince nodded.

Parlin poured Miri a cup of tea noticing she didn't have one.

"Aww, so you are the one who gave him the recommendation, thank you so much. I've never seen him so happy."

"Of course Pascal always said he was one of his best trainees, that poor man cried like a baby when Javier moved here to be close to his mother" West sipped his tea.

"His mother, oh my fairy she is so adorable, I just love her to pieces." Par smiled.

"I know right, how can you not? And how are the plans coming for your commitment ceremony?" West took a sip of his own tea.

"Marvelously, I have got our suits made. And Lady Cornelia is helping with the embellishments and the alterations. You two will be coming right?"

"Of course we wouldn't miss it", West took a tea biscuit. "His Abuela is making the cake right?"

"You know it," Parlan said with a laugh. "Why do you think we are having a ceremony instead of eloping and going right to the honeymoon on Fae isle."

"Good call." West sipped his tea.

There was a moment of silence

"So did you hear anything else suspicious this morning," Miri asked hoping the two men were done with that hen house chat.

"I saw a very nervous Lachlan leaving my brothers office he looked like he had seen a ghost. What's even more suspicious was last night when me and Javier were heading home from dinner we took the scenic route through the north garden and we saw a very disheveled and obviously injured Lachlan sneak in the northern servants' laundry entrance. He was wearing an old green cloak and a red tunic." He continued.
