Place: The Winter Gazebo Altis Field. The North Star Woods, Ambris, Siog Riocht
Date : Nollaig 4th 3:56 pmMiri, West and Riku returned to the gazebo. As they got close the prince ran ahead.
"Muffins, muffins, muffins," he exclaimed, rubbing his hands together.
"Muffins must be really good" Riku looked up at Miri questioning.
"Well, West does love them" she laughed.
"Especially the chocolate ones" he proclaimed loudly from his lead ahead of them.
Riku smiled. It felt good to be around others again, especially ones so happy and caring. He held Miri's hand tightly, something about her was different and it gave him peace and security. "I'm not used to these feet", he stomped. "I don't use them very often",he sighed.
"No worries little man" West yelled. "I use mine everyday and still they get in the way sometimes." He quickly turned back and rushed to Riku, scooping him up and placing him on his shoulders. "There you go rest those little feet." They both laughed.
"Oh be careful Westie he's tiny." Miri cautioned.
"Weeee" Riku giggled and laughed. His brothers had done him the same way.
"Say it with me now" West tapped Riku's knee.. "Muffins, muffins, muffins".. "Muffins, muffins, muffins", they shouted together.
"That's it kiddo you are a natural" the prince told the little boy.
Miri laughed "You are two of a kind I see".
West reached down and grabbed Miri's hand "You too princesa" he smiled at her "Haha, muffins, muffins, muffins" she joined in the laughter.
When they got back to the gazebo West sat Riku down on the bench and beelined for the basket. He took out 3 chocolate muffins giving one to Miri and then Riku.
"Here you go kiddo give this a taste.", he said
"Wait!" Miri put her hand up "animals can't have chocolate, does that apply to nekos? We don't want him to get sick."
"Well da..rn it I didn't think about that. How about just half of one maybe?"West questioned.
"I don't know" she replied. "Well, it's ok if he wants something sweet we got apples, canterberries, starberries and.. "
At that moment Riku snatched the muffins from West and Miri's hands. He ate one whole, paper and all before Miri could wrestle the other one away.
"These are so good," Riku shouted with a mouth of muffin crumbs, his big blue eyes wide with excitement. He was reaching for another one.
"But that was mine" West whispered quietly, down heartedly.
"Here take mine" Miri put hers in his hand as she fought back Riku.
"Woah, woah there little one. We don't know if that is safe for you." Her and West both could tell he was hungry. The fairy grabbed the basket.
"First our meal then desert." She sat on the bench and got out a plate, a sandwich and cut it in half, then sliced an apple. She placed everything neatly on the plate and gave it Riku.
"Here you go" Miri handed him the plate of food then poured him a nice warm cup of apple cider. "You will like this, it is warm and sweet" giving Riku the cup. He thanked her and dove in starting with the sandwich.
