A few more months went by without Kara and everyone was no longer themselves. Their ray of sunshine wasn't there to smile and make everything okay again. 

They had all been waiting for anything to happen, for just a miracle to happen. Fo Kara to come back. But no, no miracle happened. 

You locked yourself in the bathroom
Lying on the floor when I break through
I pull you in to feel your heartbeat
Can you hear me screaming? Please don't leave me

But that didn't stop Lena Luthor from trying to find a loophole. She had been working with Brainy, Winn and Alex, trying to find whatever the hell Kara vanished into.

So far they had come up with nothing except theories that didn't pan out. There were major disappointments when they thought they were one step ahead only to realise that they were three steps back from finding Kara.

The most important thing was that neither of them had given up. Although some of them cried themselves to sleep, they were hanging in there. They couldn't lose hope, they couldn't lose her. 

Long endless highway, you're silent beside me
Driving a nightmare I can't escape from
Helplessly praying, the light isn't fading
Hiding the shock and the chill in my bones

So today when Winn called everyone to the control room, claiming that something was happening, they all came running as if their lives depended on it. "something really weird is happening" Winn said, then continued, "do you see that?" he asked pointing at the screen

They took you away on a table
I pace back and forth as you lay still
They pull you in to feel your heartbeat
Can you hear me screaming? Please don't leave me

"See what exactly?" Nia was the one to ask.

"Supergirl's signal" Alex only said

None of them understood what was happening. The room fell silent, no one uttered a word until Lena spoke, "but it's saying she is falling from the sky" she managed to say.

"Yes," Brainy said then continued, "that's....." he couldn't say.

"Impossible?" Alex finished his train of thought

"Well, yeah," Winn said then went on, "how is she here? I mean is it even her? where has she been? why is it saying she is falling from the sky?" he finally finished talking

"All good questions Winn, but I'm afraid we don't have the answers. Only Supergirl does" J'onn said, then continued, "how about we go ask her, she's only 5 minutes from reaching the surface," he asked

3 minutes later, they were all standing in the approximated area that Supergirl was supposed to land. J'onn and Brainy had flown them there. 

"She should be here any minute," Brainy said

Few short minutes when everyone had just been looking up at the sky past. Then suddenly the ground started shaking. They all looked at each other. You could see the fear in their eyes.

They didn't know what to expect. Was it Kara coming down? or was it some unknown threat that happened to find Kara's watch somewhere and took it? what the hell was coming down to earth?

"Look!" Lena was the one who pointed out at the sky

Everyone turned their gazes again. But in a blink of an eye, there was dust everywhere around them. They couldn't see anything, much less each other. 

They slowly approached the scene in front of them. They were all armed, pointing something in front of them, ready for any attack.

When the dust cleared out, they could finally identify the threat. But when they all realised there was no threat, they lowered their weapons. 

"Kara?" Lena called

There was no answer from the other end until came, "I'm really hungry," said the Kryptonian

And as if on cue, they all laughed their lungs out (they still have their lungs).

A/N: I'm very sorry this is very short, I didn't want to go any further as I want to start the next chapter with Kara explaining what happened to her and I figured it would be really long.
