TW // idk how to describe it but Janus feels bad about his appearance and stuff , cross-dressing
Janus stood outside in the backyard. It was pitch black, so you couldn't see what he was wearing. Instead of his normal outfit, he wore a knee-length off white dress, with large daisies on the fabric. It had brown buttons going down about 3/4 of the way and thin straps over his shoulders.
"Jan?" He heard a soft voice behind him. 'You idiot!' his thoughts screamed as he recognized the voice. 'Your crush is going to see you in a dress! You look terrible! Now there's no chance of him liking you back!'
"H-hey Patton" he managed to stutter out, slowly turning around to face the other man, who stood there in a cat onesie.
"I just wanted to make sure you're ok. I was going to get a drink of water and I noticed you weren't in your room" Patton said. It was very strange for Janus to be out of bed at this hour, and Patton was truely concerned.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Don't look at me though. I look terrible" Janus replied
"I'm sure that's not true" Patton replied, stepping closer so he could see Janus. When he saw him, he immediately started blushing. Patton had a crush on Janus for about 2 years leading up to this, so seeing him in a dress really made him all butterfly-y and stuff. (I know there's a word for that, but I forgot it)
"yes I do" Janus said, starting to cry a bit. Patton walked even closer to him, placing a hand on his cheek and wiping his tears.
"No you don't. And I'm going to prove it to you in song form" Patton said. He took Janus' hands and placed one on his (Patton's) waist. He held the other, slowly leading the snake-like side in a waltz as he sang.
"I found a love
for me
darling just dive right in
and follow my lead" suddenly, by the means of plot convienience, music started playing under his soft singing.
"I found a man
wonderful and sweet
I should've knew you were the someone
waiting for me" Patton continued singing.
"Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
not knowing what it was
i will not give you up
this time
darling just hold my hand" Janus joined in, and the pair sang together
"Darling just kiss me slow" Patton sang
"your heart is all I own, and in your eyes you're holding mine" Janus responded
"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, we're listenin' to our favorite song" the pair sang together once again
"when you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it
darling you look perfect tonight" Patton sang softly.
"I love you, Janus" he whispered
"I love you too, Patton" Janus replied, as both leaned in for a kiss, meeting in the middle
"Will you be my boyfriend?" Patton asked after the pair parted
"I would love too" Janus replied
