Logan's POV
I stood at the alter, smiling. I looked at the aisle as I waited for my fiancé, Patton, to walk down it and become my husband. Then, I felt something at my feet. I looked down and saw a baby blue rose. Tears began falling from my face.
Virgil's POV
Oh my gosh his rose fell! What happens if your rose falls at your wedding?!!!
I should probably explain, just in case, I don't know, someone is reading what's happening in my brain somehow. Everyone is born with a black and white tattoo of a rose wherever their soulmate will first touch them. When you touch them for the first time, your tattoo changes to your soulmate's favorite color, and when they die, it becomes an actual rose and falls off your skin.
Logan's soulmate, Patton Sullivan, died right before their wedding. A wedding that, unless there's an afterlife, will never be complete.
