Matsukawa x Reader - "It's Always Been You"

You woke up groggy since you stayed up late gushing to Yui and Kiyoko about your day with Mattsun. They seemed really supportive of you two and wanted to meet him, much to your delight. 

Towards the end of the conversation Kiyoko mentioned they were going to karaoke with the Karasuno boys this Sunday. She asked if you wanted to join and said that you could invite Mattsun and Makki as well. You thanked them for allowing it and agreed, asking if you could invite Makki's girlfriend Yukie too since she seemed really sweet--to your surprise her and Kiyoko were already friends! 

Kiyoko also suggested maybe doing a girls night/sleepover the Saturday before at her house and you were beyond excited at the mention, agreeing immediately. You smiled in memory of the conversation before your second alarm knocked you out of your thoughts. 

You quickly got ready, wearing the same uniform the boys were issued for practices. You grabbed your bag as you head out the door, deciding you'd get breakfast on the way over. You stopped by a Lawson on your way since they usually had a good selection of food to take on the go.

"Hey" a rough voice said to the side of you. You were so invested in your food picking you jumped, flicking your head to see Kyotani snickering at you.

"Morning Kyo-kun! Guess we had the same idea?" you said, stepping aside so he could grab what he wanted. 

"Great minds think alike" he mumbled with a smile. You both paid for your things and walked together, enjoying the peace the morning had to offer. Surprisingly enough it was Kyotani who had been the one to break the silence between you two.

"Um, can I ask you something? I'm kinda bad at this shit and I figured you might be able to tell me what to do or whatever" he grumbled out, a little bit of distress in his voice.

"Sure, what's up?" you asked curiously.

"How do you, uh, fuck, this is too fucking embarrassing to say out loud. How do you, I guess 'confess' to someone or whatever?" he barked out, cheeks tinting as he looked away from you.

"Oh? You have a girl you're interested in Kyotani?" you looked at him surprised.

"Um...well, it's....a guy" he whispered towards the end, looking down at his feet. You blinked at him in shock for a few seconds, more in that he would confide in you than anything else.

"Well he's very lucky that you're interested in him, you're quite the catch Kyotani!" you smiled brightly. He looked up at you with a gentle expression of appreciation, a genuine smile on his face as you so easily accepted him. It only lasted a few seconds before he began chewing his lip in thought.

"I don't know if he's like me, you know?" he mumbled.

"Ah, I see. Is it someone you're close to?" 

"...Not really. I've seen him in practice games a few times, but that's about it."

"Well, first I think you should try to reach out and talk to him first, build a relationship with him and try to test out the waters before confessing, y'know?"

"Yeah...thank you (y/n)" the corners of his mouth turned up slightly as he looked at you.

"Anytime Kyotani, if you ever need to talk I'm always here!" you smiled at the boy as you both approached the gym, noticing most of the team had arrived and were waiting for the doors to be unlocked by Oikawa. At a distance you could see Mattsun talking to Makki who pointed in your direction, making him turn and look at you. Once spotted, he waved at you energetically with a big grin on his face.

You smiled and waved back, Kyotani eyeing you. "I've been meaning to ask...are you and Matsukawa fucking each other or something?" the faux blonde said bluntly, making you choke on your drink.
