"You're an hour early, are you that afraid of being late again?" you heard a familiar voice chuckle as your friend walked through the door.

"Morning to you too, Matsukawa-kun" you said, sticking out your tongue. "Why are you here so early?"

"I wanted to finish working on my homework before class since practice ran kind of late yesterday."

"Oh, you want my answers?"

"It's all good, I rather do it myself anyway since we'll be tested on it. I do have a question about one problem if you don't mind though."

You smile and nodded at the boy, gesturing him to come over and pull his desk to yours. He pulled out the English homework and you did the same, opening up to where he said he was having problems.

"So English translation isn't really my strong suit--do you think you can help me with translating the poem he gave us?"

You nodding, looking over the translation he had done--stifling a laugh. "H-hey! No laughing" he chuckled, embarrassed. You took your pencil and marked his mistakes, helping to correct him and guide him to the right translation without directly giving him the answers.

"Oh, so it was a love poem between two lovers!"

"Yes, not the love of sandwiches" you snickered, wondering how he had even gotten that.

"Hey, for some lonely guys the two aren't mutually exclusive."

"PFFFT THAT'S GROSS" you burst out laughing.

"Did I lie?" he joined you in laughing. Despite only knowing him for a day, you were already really enjoying his presence. He made you laugh constantly and gave you the level of comfort as if you'd known him your whole life.

Both of your laughter began to subside as you looked at him pointedly. "Alright, now that you have this properly translated, on to the pronunciation!"

"Eh?!"

"Read it aloud! You're going to have to for part of the next exam."

"But it's embarrassing (y/n)~"

"You know what else is embarrassing?"

"What?"

"Failing."

"Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine. Prepared to get swept off your feet with my master delivery."

He cleared his throat, reciting the name of the poem--already messing up. You started to giggle and he pouted at you before continuing. You had to stop him. "How about we say it together first and you try after?"

"That bad, huh?"

"100% refined badness" you stated, making him snicker.

"Alright, don't go and outshine me though."

You two began reading together. "Our Love Story, by Jessica Stockinger", both of your faces tinted a little from embarrassment with the topic.

"From the moment I saw you
It became all to clear that you were meant for me
At first you were shy
But as the days flew by I knew you were mine
As the days got shorter
And our calls got longer
It became all too clear that you had me from the start
That night you stole my heart
It took me some time to realize
But you gave me the time I needed to see
That you were my every smile
You were my every tear
You were all the things a girl could ever need
You were the boy who was meant for me
And I'll spend the rest of my life loving you
"
