I walked out of the school with Lilly and Connor by my side. We were talking about the upcoming Halloween party at another student's house. I don't know what costume I'm going to wear. I mean it's already October. Luckily, the party is on Halloween so I have plenty of time to think about it. Plus, the three of us are going to the mall to find costumes tomorrow.

Anyways, we were interrupted by a car horn. The three of us saw the limo parked in front of the school. I turned around to look at Lilly and Connor. "I'll see you guys tomorrow", I said.

"Alright. 3 PM at the mall, right?" Lilly asked. I nodded. The car horn honked again. I looked back at the car.

The windows rolled down to show Natasha in the driver's seat and Clint in the passenger seat.

"Get in the car!" Natasha says, impatiently.

I turned back towards Lilly and Connor with an amused smile. "Bye Guys", I said. I turned around and walked towards the limo. I got knocked onto the ground when Flash and his friends passed me on skateboards. They pushed me onto the ground.

"Watch where you're going", Flash says. Green energy appeared on Flash's wheels, making him fall off.

The door to the backseat opened. "Are you getting in or not", Loki asks. I noticed that the same green energy danced around Loki's fingers. I got up and got into the car.

I was seated next to Loki. On the other side of him was Thor. Steve was with us as well. "Did that boy just push you down?" Natasha asks.

"Yeah, but I'm okay", I said. Everyone gave me a concerned look. "Really. I'm fine and no one is telling my brother".

"Yes Ma'am", Natasha said.

"You're a Ma'am too", Clint said.

"Shut up and let me drive", Natasha said. I chuckled.

"Here's something you should know, Emma. Nat does not have her driver's license", Clint says.

"That's a lie. If that were true, I wouldn't be driving", Natasha says.

"Why would you think she doesn't have her driver's license?" I asked.

Clint turned around to face me. I had just now noticed that Clint's hair was messy. My eyes widened.

"What the...", I said.

"You see this hair?" Clint asks. I nodded my head rapidly. "Buckle up".

I didn't ask any questions and buckled myself in. I looked at Loki, who shrugged his shoulders. I looked back at the front.

Natasha pulls off quickly. Me, Steve and Clint started screaming. Thor cheered and Loki reads his book as if nothing is happening. Natasha cheers as she drove at an inappropriate speed.

I hung onto Loki and buried my face into his shoulder in fear. I could tell that he was looking at me. A small whimper came out of me. I looked up when I felt the car stop. Steve and Thor looked at us in shock.

"S-Sorry", I said to Loki as I let go of him.

"It's fine", he said and went back to looking at his book. Steve and Thor wouldn't stop looking at us in shock. Loki looks up from his book and noticed.

"What?" Me and Loki asked in unison.

"Nothing", Steve and Thor said in unison.

Natasha pushed hard on the pedals and speed off. Me, Clint and Steve continued screaming. Natasha and Thor continued cheering. Loki looks at me calmly. Not screaming or cheering.

"You want to hang onto me again, don't you?" He asked. I nodded. He sighs. "Fine. Just don't-".

Before he could finish, I grabbed onto him tightly and buried my face into his shoulder. I felt him place his cold hand on my shoulder.

"Just tell me when it's over", I said.

After literally a minute of hearing screaming in fear and cheering, I heard sighs of relief and I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I looked up at Loki. "It's over", he said. I let go of Loki. The others got out of the car, leaving me and Loki by ourselves.

"Thank you for what you did to Flash", I said.

"This?" The green energy appears in Loki's hand. I nodded. The green energy disappears.

"Why did you do it?" I asked.

"Let's just say that I have my own experience with bullies", he said. Before I could ask him anything else, he got out of the car.

I quickly got out of the car and followed behind Loki. We ended up in the elevator together. "You were bullied?" I asked.

"Yes, but it's something I rather not talk about".

"How long have you been shutting down your emotions?" I asked. "I mean, you seem like you are lonely. Have you ever thought of having friends?"

"Those are children's dreams and as you can see, I'm not a child", Loki says.

"Your brother said you're 17 in human years. Technically, you're still a teenager".

"My brother is a big oaf. Do you really believe what he says?"

"Uh yeah".

"Well I don't need any friends".

"You seem like you do. Come hang out with me and my friends tomorrow. We're going to find some Halloween costumes for this Halloween party. You could find a costume with us and maybe you could come to the party with us", I said.

"No", Loki says. The door to the elevator opens. Before he got out, I grabbed his hand.

"Please. You'll have fun. You might like this holiday since you like Goth style so much", I said. Loki raised his eyebrows at me. "Please".

Loki sighs. "Fine", he said as he yanked his arm out of my grip. "But I'm not wearing whatever we find. You Midgardians have terrible fashion tastes".

I nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Okay, that's true", I said. We walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table.

"You know, you really shouldn't trust me", Loki says.

"Why not?" I asked. I grabbed an apple as my after school snack.

"I'm sure your brother has told you what I did the last time we met".

"Of course he did".

"And you don't think I'm some kind of psycho or murderer".

"Of course not", I said. I got up and went to my room to do homework. Before I left the table, I noticed Loki's shocked expression. I know he did wrong things in the past, but what if he's different. What if he's changed or can change?
