31. Tests

Emma's point of view

The day of the first test finally arrived. Even though I had studied hard, I was still a little nervous.

I sat at the table, eating scrambled eggs for breakfast. Tony came into the kitchen. He sat down next to me. "Are you ready for this test week?" Tony asks.

"Yeah. I think I'm ready", I said. I was feeling confident, but I suddenly got a nervous feeling. What if all that studying was for nothing. "I'm a little nervous, Tones".

Tony looks at me with a small smile. "Hang on. I think I got an idea. Follow me", Tony says. We got up and walked out of the kitchen.

We walked into the living room. "Okay, do you remember when you were little, you'd be upset every time I left the mansion?" Tony asked.

"Right. I remember. I used to cling onto your leg, begging you to not leave. I didn't want you to go", I said.

"Exactly. So before I left, I did something to cheer you up", Tony says. I shook my head and tried not to laugh.

"Yeah, bad idea. I'm taller and heavier than I was years ago. I'll break your shoulders".

"Come on, Emma. It'll be fun", Tony says. I gave in and nodded my head, letting Tony know that I'll do it.

Tony kneeled down. I got onto his shoulders. He slowly stood up. "You ready?" Tony asks once he got to his full height.

"Yeah. Man, this never gets old", I said. Tony spun around as fast as he could. I laughed as he spun around.

When he stopped, we saw the Avengers standing at the doorway. I didn't care. I was still laughing.

"This is cute", Natasha says.

"Just a few more minutes. I'm spending time with my sister", Tony says.

"Well she needs to get to school",Rhodey says. Rhodey and Bruce got me off of Tony's shoulders.

"I don't care how old I am. That was awesome", I said, finally able to control my giggles.

"Wasn't she heavy?" Clint asks.

"Calm down, I'm not that heavy", I said.

"I beg to differ", Loki says. I looked at him in shock.

"I agree with Reindeer Games", Tony says.

"You know what, I'll see you two after school", I said, done with this conversation. Me and Rhodey walked out of the living room.

We went into the limo, where Happy was in the driver's seat. When we were in the limo, Happy drove to the school.

I stood outside of my 2nd period class with my friends. "Today, Tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, we'll have tests. They determined whether or not we become Juniors", I said.

"I made these for us", Lilly says. She grabs six bracelets out of her pocket. She gave on to Peter, One to MJ, one to Ned, another one for Connor and she gave one to me. She put on the last one. "Whatever grades we're in, we'll always be friends".

"Even if some of us don't past sophomore year", Connor says sadly.

"Stop. Don't say that", I said. "You guys are like my siblings. Trust me, my brother is more annoying". They all laughed. "We will make it to Junior year and we'll do it together".

"You know, this is one of the best school years of my life", MJ says.

"Yeah", Ned says as I nodded my head.

"Avengers...", I said as I put my fist in the middle. My friends did the same. "Assemble". Me and Peter went into our 2nd period class while the rest of our friends went to their 2nd period class.

For almost the whole week, we were busy with tests. First I had Math, then Science, after that Language Arts and on Thursday, the last test day, I had Social Studies.

On the 12th of February, we all got our test results from each test. The six of us came into the kitchen of Avengers tower. The Avengers were gathered around us.

"Okay...one by one, we'll say what grade we got in each test. We'll say it in the order we took the test so Math, Science, Language Arts and then Social Studies. It's not a celebration until we all pass. Okay?" I explained. Everyone nodded in agreement. "Who wants to go first?"

"Not it", Lilly and Connor said in unison.

"One of you has to do it", Tony said.

"Not it", I said.

"Peter?" Bucky asked.

"Uh, ladies first", Peter said as he looks at MJ.

"I'm not doing it", MJ said.

"Oh, come on. Someone has to do it", Loki said.

"I'll go", Ned says. We all looked at Ned. Ned looks at his test results. "A...C...A...A". We all smiled. Ned and Peter fist bump.

We all looked at Connor. "Do you want to go, Connor?" I asked.

"If Ned can do it then, yeah...I'll go",Connor says. He looks  at his test results. "B...A...A...A". I smiled. Lilly puts a hand on his shoulder. They kissed each other.

"Okay...that was unexpected", I said. Everyone laughs. I looked at MJ. "You ready, MJ?"

MJ nodded. She looks at her test results and took a deep breathe. "A...A...B...A".

Small cheers came echoes the room. MJ and Peter hug each other. Peter looks at his test results. "A...A...A...A".

Peter and MJ kissed. Peter and Ned fist bump each other again. We all looked at Lilly.

Lilly took a deep breathe. Me and Lilly looked at each other. We both smiled. Lilly looks at her test results. "B...C...A...A".

Most of us cheered and clapped. Me and Lilly hugged each other. "Alright Emma. It's all up to you. I could really use some ice cream", Tony says.

I looked at him in confusion. "Ice Cream?" I asked.

"Yeah, for celebration", Tony says as if that were obvious. I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, okay. For celebration, I guess we're going to get ice cream", I said. I looked at my test results. "B...A...C...".

A moment of silence passed. "Sis, you're driving me crazy. What's the last letter?" Tony asks impatiently.

I smiled as I looked at my brother. I looked back at the test results and my smile faded. I'm so nervous. "The last letter is...A!" I said. Everyone in the room cheered.

I got up and wrapped my arms around my brother. "My little sister passed her tests! She's actually a Genius!" Tony shouted. I walked over to the twins and hugged them both. I walked over to Loki. We kissed each other. "Ice Cream!" Tony shouted as he walks out of the room.

We all followed behind Tony and went to the Ice Cream Parlor for a celebration.
