25. Hope

I was seated on the couch. Tony was on my left. The twins were on my right. All the Avengers were in the living room with me. Lilly went back home.

Thor stood in front of me. "What happened before he left", Thor asks, referring to Loki.

"His skin was blue and his eyes were red. He said he never wanted me to see him like that. He called himself a monster", I explained. Thor sighed.

"What happened after that?" He asked.

"Then we...We...", I cut myself off and started crying. "I can't".

"Please, Emma. I know this is upsetting, but please tell me", Thor says.

"We kissed", I said. Everyone looked at me in shock. I looked down at my hands, now wanting look at anyone. "I asked him if he felt the same way. He said yes, but he still left".

"Do you know where?" Tony asks.

"He said he was going back home. I don't know what that means", I said.

"Nor do I", Thor says.

"He's not coming back, is he?" I asked.

"I don't know".

"You fell in love with a war criminal?"Tony asks.

"He's not a war criminal! He was just hurt! Why can't any of you see that? You had your differences in the past, but you could have believed in him! He saved me from falling off that tree and he saved me from Luke! Is that not enough?" I said, raising my voice.

Everyone was quiet. Tony puts a hand on my shoulder. "Okay. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset", Tony says. "I guess you're right. We should've listened to you".

"You're damn right", I mumbled.

Tony nodded. Me and my brother got up and walked towards the elevator. The door opened and we went inside. The elevator door closed.

"You know, when I kept you in that mansion, I thought I was keeping you away from danger", Tony explains. "It turns out, I was keeping you from the world".

I looked at Tony. "There was a lot that I wanted to do. Mostly, I wanted to save the world with my brother", I said. Tony looks at me with a smile.

"You'll get there. It's like that song...what was it? Oh, Take on the World", Tony says.

"Do I want to know how you know that song?" I asked. Then, I remembered it was my favorite show as a little girl.

"You're not in that mansion anymore. You have friends, a superhero family full of crazy people, a smart and handsome brother".

"Oh please", I said as I rolled my eyes. Me and Tony laughed.

"You will be the one that saves the world. Believe me, you'll get there",Tony says. I wrapped my arms around Tony. He wraps an arm around me.

After Tony left my room, I thought about he said. I played music on my phone and started singing.

Behind Emma's door, Tony, Pietro and Wanda listened to Emma's singing. "Is she going to be okay?" Wanda asked.

Tony smiled and nodded. "Yeah", he said. He continued listening to Emma singing. "That's my little sister".

Wanda puts a hand on Tony's shoulder. She listened to Emma's singing. Pietro puts a hand on Wanda's shoulder. Pietro smiled.

Wanda smiled. "Our little sister", she said, pointing to her, Tony and Pietro.

"Yeah, our little sister".
