S1 Ep9~ "Changes"

A/N~ This episode contains one of my favorite Number Five moments of Season 1. Can you guess which moment?

-"Come on! Let's go!"-

-"[all men] I will."-

-"Vanya is not important."-

-"I'm not saying I don't care about her, but if the apocalypse happens today, she dies along with the other seven billion of us. Harold Jenkins is our first priority."-

-"Klaus, get up."-

-"The understatement of the year."-

-"In a minute. [sighs]"-

-"Same eye color, same pupil size. Guys this is it. The eye I've been carrying around for decades, it--it's found its rightful home."-

-"No, no. Wait, wait. It can't be this easy. Look, this is the not that I got from the Commission. The one that says, 'Protect Harold Jenkins,' aka Leonard Peabody."-

-"But who killed him? Who did this?"-

-"No sign of Vanya."-

-"Where are you going? Vanya's still out there, and so are Hazel and Cha-Cha."-

-"Hey, did Dad say anything about the apocalypse when you spoke to him? Any clues as to how it happened?"-

-"[sighs] Jeez."-

-"How did he know about the apocalypse?"-

-"I didn't. You'd realize that if you were actually sober."-

-"Yeah, two days."-

-"Who are you kidding, Klaus? I've seen you fidgeting all day."-

-"I'm not an addict."-

-"You're wrong."-

-"You and I, we're not the same."-

-"Well, do you think we really did it? Think we actually stopped the apocalypse? Now what? I don't know. [chuckles] I'm open to suggestion. Eh I'll get it. [sighs]"-

-"Do you have my sister? And...if not, would you like a margarita?"-

-"Come on."-

-"You're here to kill me?"-

-"Well, you attacked our house, tried to kill my family, and kidnapped my brother."-

-"Hazel, why are you here?"-

-"Diego, stop!"-

-"You know, before you kill him, you might wanna hear what he has to say."-

-"Or don't. See how that goes."-

-"[inhales sharply] That's gotta hurt."-

-"I draw the line at biting."-

-"Hazel, whatever you came here to say, I suggest you make it quick, before he comes around."-

-"For what?"-

-"[chuckles] Hm."-

-"Before I answer that, why do you wanna help us?"-

-"Well, I hate to break it to you, pal, but you're a day late and a dollar short. The fact that you're here right now means, without a shadow of a doubt, that the apocalypse is over."-

-"The mark is dead. Found him this morning. You were the last known unknown left in the equation."-

-"Mm-hmm. And if you're out, then Hellrider ain't riding."-

-"[chuckles] Mm."-

-"You know, to be honest, I don't know. I've been chasing this thing for so long, I...I never really thought about the day after. [chuckles] I don't know. What about you?"-

-"That's easier said than done."-

-"I guess I would have grown up to be an emotionally stunted man-child like everybody else around here."-

-"Hazel. One more thing before you go."-

-"Which one of you was the trigger man for Detective Patch?"-

-"[sighs] Huh. That's too bad. That gun could have cleared my brother's name."-

-"Good, you're up. Ready for a drink now?"-

-"I let him go."-

-"Now that the apocalypse is over, it's time for the fighting to stop."-

-"Hey, he didn't kill Patch. His partner Cha-Cha did."-

-"This half of the partnership gave me both of their guns. Which will clear you, because the ballistics will match Patch's crime scene."-

-"Hazel came here looking for a way out. He wanted a fresh start. And he happened to have in his possession the one thing that could do our family a little good. So it's time to move on."-

-"Suit yourself. [sighs]"-

-"I am curious. Your girlfriend, Patch. What did you like about her?"-

-"Anything a little more profound than that?"-

-"Well, I'm sure she'll be proud to know that you're killing Hazel and Cha-Cha as a way to honor her memory."-

-"Hey. I bet it feels good to be back...amongst your friends. And it's okay, you can...say it. We always were an unlikely pair. [chuckles] This isn't easy for me, Delores, and I...I want you to know that I cherish every single minute I ever shared with you, all 23 and a half million of them. A lifetime. [chuckles] Now look at us. We're lucky enough, we get a second one. [chuckles] Yeah. You are right. I do have a lot of growing up to do. I'll never forget you, Delores."-

-"Excuse me, miss? Could you give that mannequin something new to wear?"-

-"She likes sequins."-

A/N~ There are literal tears on my face right now. Writing down the scene when Five returns Delores got me bawling!!!! One more episode and I'll be finished with Season 1.
