By the time I made it back to the pack house I was a hot mess. My body was failing and I couldn't stop the tears.
I drove up to the front door and got off the bike, letting it fall. A small crowd had stepped out and I wanted to die of embarrassment. I couldn't see straight for the tears, my breathing was erratic and my heart felt like it was stuck in my throat.
"Princess?" Derek called pushing through people to get to me. My heart hurt knowing that he betrayed me like that. He was the only one that knew about my ex and he promised to keep it to himself.
I whipped the helmet as hard as I could at his head. It caught him square in the face as I screamed at him.
"Get away from me! I trusted you and I'm done." He grabbed his nose and looked at me bewildered.
"Jess what the fuck happened?!" He asked, grabbing my arm. I gasped in agony dropping to the ground. "Talk to me," he begged.
"Jess where's Jace?" Xavier asked, reaching for me.
"Get away from me," I yelled. "I'm done with all of your games and bull shit." They just looked at me like I was crazy. I shoved past them and ran upstairs, heading to Jude's room.
All I wanted was Chris, I would gladly have taken Jude, but both were at New Moon. I locked the door behind me throwing the extra bars. He had reinforced the door just in case for me.
"Jess, open up," Xavier called, knocking on the door. "Talk to us, we don't know what's going on."
"Princess, please," Derek begged. "No ones angry, I promise, we're worried. Open up doc needs to check you."
"I'm angry," I snapped, "this door isn't opening no matter what, so fuck off and leave me alone."
They kept knocking and talking but I turned the radio on and went into the bathroom. My reflection was bad, like worse than I expected. This wasn't the first time I've patched myself up after a man has laid hands on me.
I was filthy from being thrown face first in the dirt so many times, with tear streaks across both cheeks. My face displayed multiple bruises and scratches.
I tried to shrug out of my shirt but both shoulders are fucked. So I grabbed his scissors and cut the straps sliding the ruined shirt down instead. The pain was bad as I snapped my bra off causing me to whimper as the tears returned.
My skin is covered in bruises and scratches. The bruise on my right shoulder is particularly big and colouful. My left arm throbs painfully at my wrist which is swelling. Something's wrong with that shoulder also as it burns and has really limited range of movement.
I step into the shower after taking some pain meds that Jude keeps for me. The hot water was a welcome relief as the tension started to melt away. As exhaustion took over I stepped out and towelled off. I avoided the mirror at this point, the bruises were only getting darker.
His closet had a small selection of clothes I had stashed in there. I opted for one of Chris's oversized tanks that I could pull up instead of slipping on with boyshorts.
I was cold and tired so I crawled into bed. It was so hard to find a comfortable position, but I drifted off before long.
"Jess?" I barely hear my name called. "Jess please wake up, I will throw water on you so help me I will."
"Sara?" I groan.
"Jess what happened?" She was thoroughly confused and concerned, not hiding it at all.
I whimpered as I rolled away from her and curled up.
"Jezus Jess, we have to get doc to look at you." She was really agitated now. "What happened with you and Jace?" She sat down on the edge of the bed.
