"Explain this shit," I growled.
If it wasn't at my expense, it would have actually been funny. All five had the same slack-jawed, wide eyed expression as their minds tried to make sense of things.
"Da Fuck?" Jace asked, finally breaking the silence.
"You, tell me?! This is out of my scope, but you told me this wasn't a thing," I snapped at Xavier.
"What's not a thing?" Jude asked. His brow was furrowed and his blue eyes locked on my hand, you could see his mind racing.
"That you're either a wolf or you're not, bites can't change people," I quoted.
"I mean it's true?" Jace replied, uncertain. "How do you feel?"
"Pissed and confused but otherwise normal."
"Well, now what?" Jude asked, confused.
"Are you seriously asking me?!"
"Fuck, Shadow wasn't kidding when he said you were bitchy today," Sara chirped, walking up behind me.
"Not in the mood Sara," I growled as I glared at her and Jude.
'I'll fucken show her bitchy...'
"I didn't say that!" Jude defended as he paled.
"He didn't, I paraphrased," she admitted unphased. "Um, Jess? What's with your eyes?"
"She's right, I haven't seen them blaze this bright since you beat the shit out of me," Jace admits, concerned.
"I told you I'm having temper issues today, I'm not lying," I growled. "You think I'm bitchy you should hear all the shit bouncing around in my head that I'm not saying."
"Wait, what?" Sara asked, confused.
"That inner filter that stops you from saying shit you shouldn't? Yeah, you wouldn't know what that is."
"Hey now, let's tune it down a notch or two shall we?" Jace asked, trying to keep the peace.
"I need to get out of here," I mumbled. "Go for a walk or something."
"No!" They shout in unison.
"I mean, you probably shouldn't be wandering around until we know what's going on," Jace offered.
"What about the Guardians? Maybe Derek will know what to do?" Jude asked.
"Should we tell Chris?" Sara asked.
"Tell him what? There's nothing to tell at this point, so no point interrupting his meetings. That's an order," I snap directly at Sara.
"This is crazy, we should go," Jace says, running a hand through his already messy golden brown hair.
A short while later we made our way to the Guardian house, but I was lost in my thoughts. Why now? The only thing that makes sense is Chris marked me. But now what?
"Jess luv, what brings ye by?" Dex greets. "Brought the whole house yeah? Must be serious."
"Hey Dex, have you seen Derek?" I ask. "And yeah it's important."
"Sorry luv, he's at the pack house, his shifts for another couple hours yet."
"Fuck," I groan.
"What's got you all riled up?" Dex asked.
"Something's wrong with me and I need to talk with him," I groaned.
Dex took one last look then nodded. "I'll see if I can't pull some strings. Give me a few," he said before leaving.
