Slightly after dawn we neared Lunar Falls territory. Damon motioned to let him take the lead but to stick close.

Shortly after crossing we were greeted by a large pack of wolves in the road. "Keep your helmet on and stay here," he warned through bluetooth.

"Alpha Ludo," he greets the large charcoal wolf out front. "My appoligizes for arriving unannounced, but it is of some importance." His tone is formal but warm, as he lets his energy flood the group.

Alpha Ludo shifts and shakes his hand. Ludo is no spring chicken his dark hair is more silver then anything now but his sharp brown eyes miss nothing. Like all alphas he is tall and very well muscled, I wouldn't count him out in a fight.

His eyes lock onto mine and I see him scent the air no doubt trying to pick me up. "Who is she?" He asks, eyes unreadable.

"My companion and Guardian buisness," he says with finality. Ludo clenches his jaw before nodding as the group parts. "There is another Guardian on her way if she isn't here already."

"You two beat her but I will send her up once she arrives. Guardians Glass and Thomas are at the pack house, I'll be by for lunch." Ludo says more relaxed.

A short trip leads up to the pack house, the large multi floor building was clad in blue grey and sandy stone, with a slate roof.

I followed Damon to the main door and parked next to him as people exited the house. I was busy taking off my helmet and stretching my tired legs while I gathered my frazzled nerves. It has been a long 24 hours, the exhaustion is catching up with me fast now.

"Princess," I hear Derek growl behind me.

"Fuck off with that," I snap, turning to face him. I catch Guardian Declan Thomas behind him. Derek blocks my view as he closes in on me.

"You shouldn't have come," he says lowly.

"You, should have answered your phone," I retort.

"Jess luv, you're a sight for sore eyes," Declan says sweeping me up in a hug. "What's wrong?" He asks as he takes in my state. His red beard looks to be on fire in the morning sun. Any other day his Irish accent would be music to my ears but today I'm here only for Derek.

I just shake my head unable to elaborate, he doesn't let me go, instead squares me up searching for clues in my face. "Tell me," he commands as my gut begins to tighten painfully again.

I look pointedly at Derek, begging for help but his eyes are hard. "Go back to Chris," he growls.

Like a switch flips I snap, dropping and twisting out of Dex's grip and launching myself at Derek. I break the nose on his smug face before he even knew what was happening.

He roars as he catches my arms and pins them to my sides as he lifts me from the ground, slamming me against the house. I hiss in pain at the impact. His snarling and bleeding face is inches from mine.

"Why can't you just do what you're fucking told for once," he growls letting the double meaning sink in. The pain in my gut tightens as it sinks in, causing a whimper to make it past my lips.

"I need to talk to you," I grit out.

"You need to be quiet," he warns.

"The fuck's going on here Derek, this is Jess we're talking about, let her go," Dex challanges.

"Stay out of this Dex," he growls.

"What's going on, this isn't you man?" Dex presses on both confused and angered.

The next exchange happened so fast it barely had time to register. Dex hooked his arm around Dereks chest and wrenched him away from me tossing me to the ground.
