Chris POV
('Cause yup! It's fun to be in his head!)

I couldn't get out of that meeting fast enough. Being in the same room with Dimitri just fed my need to beat the shit out of him.

'Do it,' Cyrus eggs me on. 'He disrespected what is ours in front of everyone, he needs a reality check.'

'He's fishing, but he won't get away with it again,' I concede. Cyrus's anger just feeds my own and without Jess here I may just cave.

"Keep glaring at him like that and he may just catch on fire," Kane cuts in with a smirk, breaking me out of my sullen state.

"Thanks for earlier, I've never liked the guy, but principal or not I won't tolerate him talking to Jess like that," I growled.

"I don't blame you, I'd have cracked him right there if it was Willow, but I was closer," he says gruffly with a crooked grin.

"The girls might be onto something, let's get out of here, do you know where they're going?" He asks. I shake my head and grab my cell.

"Hey baby, where are you?" I ask. I can hear the motor of my bike, not surprised. 

"No idea, highway somewhere? Just blowing off steam, what's up?" She asks.

"We're done here, want to meet somewhere for dinner and drinks? There's a pub-"

"Iron Horse got it, we'll double back, we were just driving around," Jess replied. I can't help my jealousy at her cruising around on my bike without me. Kane nods with a raised brow, so I click it on speaker.

"You're on speaker, where's Willow?" I ask.

"On the bike with me," she replies, he looks shocked.

"You, got Willow on a motorcycle?" He asks, stunned.

"Yeah, why? I can pull over and let her off to the truck?" Jess asks, confusion clear.

"Please Kane, I'm having fun," Willow begged quietly.

"By all means, I'm just surprised is all. You good for dinner and drinks or do you want to go home?" He asked.

"Can't we stay here with them?" She asks.

"Yeah, we'll meet you there," he said with a sigh before hanging up.

"Looks like you lucked out in the mate department too, eh?" I ask. He just grunts. Kane has never been overly talkative but over all he's a decent guy. We tend to be on the same side for issues and a shared dislike for Dimitri.

"Trouble in paradise?" I asked just to be an ass.

"The girl's fucking scared of everything," he snaps. "For six months I've tried to get her on my bike, your mate has her on one in five minutes, the fuck is that?!" 

"Jess has a way with people, they either love her or hate her, there's no middle ground," I admit with a shrug. Willow seems thoroughly attached and Dimitri is on the other end on the spectrum.

"My truck's outback, you ready?" Kane asks. I nod and before long we're hitting the highway. He's got good taste, a fully tricked out red ram 4x4 with custom black interior.

I can't help but laugh when Jess and Willow pull up beside us mid highway. Willow must have pointed out his truck. 

Both women look to be having a great time based on their glowing smiles. A moment later she drops the throttle leaving us behind. Xavier and Claire pass on a second bike as Jace zips by on his rice burner. Jude and Nex follow up in his black ram pickup.
