"Hi princess, you good?" is the greeting I get as I reach my locker at school.
I whip my head around to see Lucas standing there, with a worried look on his face. I quickly smile and give him a tight bear hug, which he reciprocates.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why are you asking?"
He scratches his head awkwardly and glances around before replying, "Well, I heard about what happened from Taeyong. I'm really sorry about this, princess."
"Hey, don't be. I don't get Sera either, it's not your fault in any way," I say, smiling to Lucas.
Lucas glances away and turns back to say something before Dami comes yelling my name from across the hall. She runs over with Mark in tow, who is covering his face in embarrassment.
"Haera, I just wanted to ask you something." Dami asks, panting from running over to me. "Can I bring Mark along to the wedding? I just think it would be so cute and fun."
Mark interjects immediately, "Only if you and Sera are okay with it, of course."
"Of course you can come, Mark. Don't be silly, the more the merrier," I reply happily to him. Both Dami's and Mark's face light up at my approval and both of them start smiling to each other like a pair of lovebirds. It's cheesy, but who am I to talk.
I look over to Lucas, urging him to say what he wanted to tell me earlier, but he merely shakes his head and tells me he'll call me later.

Ever since the "fight" three days ago, I've been actively avoiding Sera. Mom even told me to give Sera some time to cool down. I haven't heard anything from Taeyong either, according to Mom, he hasn't come by the house since that night.
I've been coming home at weird hours just so that I can get back before while she's sleep and eating in my room so we don't have to face each other at dinner.
Today's different.
Dami drives me home immediately after school, and the first thing I do is walk straight into her room and drop my bag on the floor.
"We need to talk."
Sera removes her glasses and puts down the her wedding planning notebook to look me straight in the eye. "Fine, what's the problem?" she asks.
I really wanted to make this conversation as civil as possible but Sera's unbothered tone and rolling of her eyes makes me snap. "Are you really going to ask me that as if I'm the one with an issue here?"
"We had a deal, remember? And if I'm being very honest, I think that deal was the last thing holding our relationship together, lil sis. So I really don't think you should be barging into my room like that and speaking to me in that tone," Sera says, her voice icy cold and her eyes completely blank.
"What's it to you that I'm dating Lucas? I got my heart broken two months ago, so what? I'm happy now, isn't that enough?" I ask, raising my voice so that it's almost a scream.
"You...I can't tell you anything, Haera. I hope you understand, I want you to be happy but..." Sera trails off, staring at a picture on her dresser of her and Taeyong when they were dating after college. I've seen that picture so many times, every time I came into her room, but I never noticed that little angsty teenager in the corner of the frame. It looks like Lucas, a much younger, scrawnier, and grumpier Lucas, but it's still him.
His face is a little blurry due to the distance but you can still make out that he's looking at Sera and Taeyong hugging in the picture. It almost looks like he's...sad?
Sera notices me scrutinizing the picture and stands up abruptly. "Listen Haera, I'm really sorry, but you just cannot date Lucas. End of conversation."
Before I can say anything in response, she delivers the final blow. "One more thing, Lucas isn't invited to the wedding anymore. I'm sorry."
"But-" I try to reason with her but it's no use, she pushes me out of the door and slams it in my face, leaving to face-to-face with only the intricate carvings on her door. Somehow I feel like Anna in Frozen, but ten times worse.

Ooh double post today. I'm basically trying to write a couple of chapters quickly because I have some really really important exams coming up but I still want to be able to post so I'm writing I'm advance:))
