The next week was as normal as it could get. Regina gifted me my favourite chocolate as an apology. She promised not to ask me anything about Raphael anymore and we returned to normal, as normal as we could with the visible crack in our friendship.

Raphael had continued giving me yellow flowers and my spot I had laid out for his flowers was coming out beautifully. It was Friday and I was groaning about the test we had just written for math which I was sure I failed and the one set for monday.

"I have no weekend. My life is over."

"Want me to tutor you?"

"Would you help?" I gave Kellan puppy dog eyes and he blushed. The boy would never resist my puppy dog eyes and how he ended up with all the smarts was not fair.

"How could I not?" He chuckled looking away and I cheered throwing my arm over his neck.

"Now, a few ground rules, you can't flirt with me." He pouted holding onto my arm and staring up at me. "I'm serious and we start tomorrow, I get to relax today."

"You should pay him." I have Kenya a horrified look.

"How could you sell me out like that?"

"What? Just saying. Everytime he tutors you, you pass, you should at least give him something if you won't give in to the advances."

"She has a point." I let go of my cousin.

"I'm. Going. To tell. Your moms!"  They gave me a blank stare and shook their heads. I pouted leaving the school behind them. I froze behind them as I spotted him. Raphael did it again, leaning against his car looking all hot and teenage dream type.

I waved to my friends and family and made my way to him with a scowl.

"What is this?"

"A friend offering you a ride home? Hopefully a meal too?" I stared at his easy going smile and the way he played with his keys almost nervously. I rolled my eyes and waved him off. He chuckled and opened the door for me. I caught the glances of my friends and my brother threw a thumbs up like the dork he was.

I threw my bag in the back then and noticed the flowers, they were white this time.

"A change in colour?" I asked when he got in.

"A dash of spice."

I chuckled at his simple explanation and buckled in.

"So, your feeding me?"

"If you'll let me?" I got comfortable and plugged my phone into his radio since I noticed he had a place for a cord. "There's a new pizza place a friend opened up recently. Thought it would be nice to take you there."

"Cool." I seemed very relaxed and so with everything happening but deep down my heart fluttered uncontrollably and I was really having an internal battle with the decision I had come to.

My birthday was only three weeks away now and things felt... ominous for it. I was running out of time to make a decision about Raphael that I really didn't know what to do other than go with the flow at this point. He had yet to give me a reason to hate him or be truly angry other than wanting to be my boyfriend, I had no reason to push him away which had been obvious for a while. However, I may have indirectly agreed to being friends but honestly, I wasn't sure if that's what we could be with the attraction I held for him.

"So, this friend, known him a while?"

"You could say that." I raised a brow and he smiled. "This is also business, if I'm being honest."

"Woah, what happened to work before play, or however that saying goes."

"I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone." I shook my head then at his boyish smile as we pulled up to the new place. It was decent enough, very bright and you could just tell it was new.
