Third Person POV

In the small town of Hobbiton in The Shire, lived a little hobbit girl named Y/N L/N.

Y/N had grown up being great friends with Bilbo Baggins. She often listened to his stories of adventures in far away lands and stopped by his house for tea. Y/N was like Bilbo's granddaughter.

Being a hobbit was a wonderful thing. Yes, they were short and had big feet, but they lived peaceful lives. Hobbits normally had seven mealtimes a day. Breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper. They didn't eat too much at each meal, just enough to last until the next.

Another thing about hobbits, was that they very much enjoyed the comforts of their own homes (which were holes in the ground). And that of their family and friends. They hardly left The Shire, or even their little part of it. Hobbits stayed in their homes, cooking, cleaning, reading, eating, and napping.

Hobbits, though they had peaceful lives, did gossip about the lives of the others in the village. If anything big would happen (which was pretty rare) you would find many hobbits huddled together and whispering.

Y/N, on the other hand, lived a quiet life (unless she was at The Green Dragon Inn with Merry and Pippin). She enjoyed reading books while sitting in trees and fields. But, if someone was mean to her friends, she would always reply with a sarcastic comment.

Despite being a good and polite young hobbit, Y/N was friends with Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck, which meant she was bound to get into some trouble.

She would often find the two mischievous boys stealing from Farmer Maggot's field. And then the grumpy old farmer would blame her because she would be there as well.

Another of Y/N's friends (who was more polite and hardly broke rules), was Samwise Gamgee, but everyone called him Sam.

Samwise was a nice hobbit with a big heart. He was scared of most things, but was always a great friend who stood by your side. Y/N remembered the first time she met the three hobbits....

Five year old Y/N ran out of her house, smiling with happiness that she was free to roam outside.

She ran a little ways out of Hobbiton and found a large cornfield. Y/N found that once she entered the cornfield, she didn't remember which way she in from.

Not having a care in the world, Y/N giggled and skipped around through the field. Suddenly, two hobbits that were about a year older than her jumped out of the corn and crashed into her, the three of them landing in a pile on the ground with the two boys on top of Y/N who had screamed.

"Owww!" she complained in a high-pitched voice as the little hobbit boys groaned.

"Merry, we've got to keep quiet or the old farmer will hear." one of the them whispered to the other, still on the ground.

"But Pippin, we're crushing this poor girl, and Farmer Maggot will find us! You know you can practically sniff out children who make trouble!" 'Merry' pointed out to 'Pippin'.

"Well excuse me, boys. You are crushing me and I would very much appreciate it if you would stop." Y/N told them strongly. They looked up at her, but before they could reply, footsteps were heard.

"You theiving little kids! I know you're in there! Give me back my produce!" a grouchy voice demanded angrily from somewhere in the field.

Y/N was about to speak, but Pippin covered her mouth with his hand and gave her a look telling her to be quiet.

"Come out, sneaking little corn-stealers!" Farmer Maggot yelled.

"Pippin, we're doomed! If we move, he'll hear us. You won't give us away will you, little girl we ran over?" Merry pleaded in a whisper.

"Why would I give you away? Did you do something bad?" Y/N asked, unable to see the stolen vegetables in their hands.

"Well...just don't listen to the grumpy farmer when he calls us thieves." Pippin said, trying to hide his guilty face. Y/N frowned. "There you are!" Farmer Maggot screamed from right beside them, looking down at the little hobbits with a furious expected.

"We're doomed! There's no escape! He's gonna kill us and cook us in a stew for luncheon!" Pippin panicked.

Y/N looked up with an expression of fear and shock as she noticed Farmer Maggot's pitchfork. "It wasn't the girl, I swear! I was watchin'! They jumped through the cornstalks and collided with her, then didn't let her go! I was watchin' from that tree over there! Please, Mr. Farmer, sir. Don't punish her!" a chunky little hobbit boy that was, again, about a year older than Y/N exclaimed, exasperated, appearing from behind Farmer Maggot.

"Well alright, Samwise. But if I ever catch her again, I'll have her head on my pitchfork." Farmer Maggot warned.

The chunky boy, Samwise, sighed and grabbed Y/N's arm, pulling her out of the pile of hobbits and away from Farmer Maggot.

"Farmer Maggot, sir. We're sorry! We were hungry and thought this was the sweetest corn in all The Shire. Please don't turn us into stew! You can have the corn back if you-"

"Leave the corn and get!"

The four hobbits gave back the corn and made their way back towards Hobbiton. "Thanks for saving me, Samwise. I really didn't mean to get caught up in Merry and Pippin's mischief. I was just running through the field." Y/N said gratefully.

"Oh, your welcome. And please just call me Sam." he replied with a sweet smile.

"I'm Y/N."

"That's a pretty name. We didn't mean for you to almost lose your head today, Y/N. We was just thinking some corn would be good for luncheon." Pippin told her.

"It's okay, Pippin. Would you all like to be my friends? I don't have any. Well, besides Rosie."  Y/N offered.

"Sure." Merry and Pippin said, beaming.

"Of course. Wait...did you say Rosie?" Sam asked, suddenly very interested.

Y/N, Merry, and Pippin laughed and Sam eventually joined in as they made their way back into Hobbiton, a new spark of friendship now lit.

That was how Y/N met Merry, Pippin, and Sam. They had stayed friends ever since, and often danced around in The Green Dragon Inn. They, of course, weren't old enough to drink, but they loved hanging out there.

So that was Y/N's life. Peace, friendship, and a little bit of mischief. But, there was no adventure. At least not yet...

A/N: And so, my first 'x reader' story is out. I looked and noticed there were hardly any Frodo x Readers, so I decided to right one. Plus, Frodo is amazing.

I'm not sure about the title of the book yet, it may change, but I doubt it. I hope people enjoy the story, because I know I'll love writing it.
