Y/N's POV

The Fellowship of the Ring walked in deep snow in the Caradhras. My feet kept sinking in and Frodo would pull me out each time. I shivered, hugging Frodo's cape that he had given me around myself.

I glared ahead as Legolas easily walked on top of the snow. Lucky.

I was pulled out of my thoughts as Frodo suddenly slipped and started tumbling down the hill. "Frodo!" Aragorn and I yelled simultaneously.

The two of us rushed down to him and Aragorn helped him back on his feet. He started frantically searching around his neck for the Ring, realizing it was gone. I looked up to see lying in the snow ahead of us.

Boromir slowly stepped forward and picked it up, dangling it in front of his face. I glared at him and could feel Aragorn and Frodo watching with caution.

"Boromir." Aragorn warned.

"It is a strange fate we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. Such a little thing." Boromir said, seeming to be in a trance as he stared at the Ring.

"Boromir! Give the Ring to Frodo."

Boromir jumped as Aragorn commanded him, waking up from his thoughts and coming out of the trance. He walked forward and handed it to Frodo. "As you wish. I care not."

I glared at his back as he turned and continued treading through the snow. Sighing, I turned back to Frodo. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Just......nevermind....." Frodo said, putting the Ring back around his neck. He grabbed my hand and held it tight as we continued treading through the snow.

After just a few moments, a voice boomed through the air, making me jump in fright. "Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; nai yarvaxea rasselya!"

I couldn't understand what it said, but I'm sure it wasn't good. I grabbed Frodo's arm and looked around at the snow-filled sky.

"There is a fell voice on the air!" Legolas shouted over the snow.

"It's Saruman!" Gandalf yelled back.

I screamed as a huge avalanche started falling from the snowy mountain. Frodo jumped towards it, pulling me with him and out of harms way.

"He's trying to bring down the mountain! Gandalf, we must turn back!" Aragorn yelled.

I hugged Frodo, burying my face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head.

"No!" Gandalf disagreed. He stepped forward out of the snow. "Losto Caradhras, sedho, hodo, nuitho i 'ruith!" he said a spell in a language I couldn't understand and Saruman's voice filled the air again as he also chanted spells. "Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; Nai yarvaxea rasselya; taltuva notto-carinnar!"

I screamed again as lightning struck on the top of the mountain, sending another avalanche down. Legolas pulled Gandalf towards the mountainside and I clung onto Frodo for dead life as the snow buried us.

I could feel myself buried in the snow, Frodo's hand still held tightly in mine, and I fought my way out, gasping for breath as my head popped out of the white ground.

I saw everyone else emerging from the snow around me and sighed in relief as Frodo poked his head out. He hugged me tightly as Boromir shouted. "We must get off the mountain! Make for the Gap of Rohan and take the west road to my city!"

"The Gap of Rohan takes us too close to Isengard!" Aragorn yelled.

"If we cannot pass over a mountain, let us go under it. Let us go through the Mines of Moria." Gimli suggested.

I saw Gandalf look at Gimli worriedly and frowned. What was so bad about the Mines of Moria that scared Gandalf?

"Let the Ring bearer decide." Gandalf said and all eyes turned to Frodo.

"We cannot stay here! This will be the death of the Hobbits." Boromir urged.

"Frodo?" Gandalf asked.

Frodo looked around, probably wishing all of the pressure wasn't on him. Finally, he squeezed my hand for support and said "We will go through the mines."

Gandalf sighed and stared forward, deep in thought. "So be it."

A/N: Kind of a short chapter, but it's something. I'm so sorry I haven't updated in so long, but I don't really have much inspiration or ideas for this story, so I feel like I'm forcing myself to write it, and I don't want it to be like that. I want to WANT to write it. I think the next chapter will be better though.

Anyways, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 2K reads and 200 votes!! I can't believe so many people like this story! I mainly just write for my own enjoyment but I'm so glad people enjoy it.

I will try my best to update more often. Until next time, my friends.
