Chapter 19

Three months later

Nicole woke up to the baby squirming around. "You woke mommy up early." she sighed and smiled a little as she put her hand on her baby bump and rubbed it.

Peter woke up. "Are you alright?" he asked sleepily.

"Yeah, the baby was just squirming around and woke me up." Nicole smiled, leaning over to kiss Peter. Nicole continued to rub her baby bump then out of nowhere she felt a kick. "Oh my gosh! Peter the baby just kicked!" Nicole said excitedly and grabbed Peter's hand and put it on the area the baby kicked. The baby kicked Peter's hand.

"Well good morning to you too sweetheart." Peter smiled and kissed Nicole's baby bump. "Mommy and Daddy get to find out if you're a girl or a boy today." Peter talked to the baby bump.

"I'm so excited for that." Nicole hugged Peter.

"So am I." Peter smiled as he stood up then helped Nicole up.

Peter drove Nicole to the hospital and parked in the parking lot. They got out and started walking towards the entrance. "I think that's Carl's car." Nicole pointed.

"Yeah?" Peter looked in the direction Nicole pointed.

Nicole and Peter came into the hospital and Nicole signed in then they came to the waiting room. Nicole saw Carl and Megan sitting in the corner. "I knew I saw your car." Nicole came over and hugged both Carl and Megan.

"Hey." Carl smiled at Nicole. "How are you and the baby?" he wondered.

"Me and the baby are doing great!" Nicole grinned. "How's Megan doing with hers?" Nicole looked at Megan.

"She's doing great and so is the baby."Carl smiled.

"That's good." Nicole smiled and nodded.

"Megan Underwood." a nurse called Megan back and Megan and Carl followed the nurse back to the baby room.

"I'm excited." Nicole clung to Peter's arm.

"So am I." Peter smiled at Nicole.

"Nicole Dixon." a male doctor called.

Peter and Nicole got up and came with the doctor to a different baby room. Nicole laid down on the exam table and Peter stood right by her side.

"Are we ready to see your baby?" The doctor asked.

"Yes." Nicole sat up a little.

The doctor prepared the gel and ultrasound device. "Could I have you lift your shirt for me?" he looked at Nicole.

Nicole nodded and lifted her shirt up and the doctor rubbed the gel all over Nicole's stomach and moved the device around and paused the ultrasound once it was fixed on the baby. "There's your baby. Looks like your having a girl and she sounds healthy you're on the right track." the doctor smiled.

"We're having a girl." Nicole started to tear up as she listened to heartbeat on the monitor.

Peter hugged Nicole. "Yes we are."

The doctor handed Nicole her ultrasound pictures and they exited the baby room and met up with Megan and Carl in the waiting room.

"I'm having a girl." Nicole told Carl and showed him the sonogram pictures.

"Megan is having a boy." Carl told Nicole.

"Aww there's gonna be a little Carl running around." Nicole laughed.

Carl and Megan laughed.

"Wanna meet up at our place to relax in the pool? Nicole offered, looking at both Carl and Megan.
