Chapter Twenty Seven

End

It took a few weeks for her to wake up. Her status was still considered critical, but she finally woke up. It had been a tense one in the hospital as Chasen demanded twenty four-seven nurse and medical doctor in the room to assess her. He growled at the medical team; he will double their salaries twice or the bills here just for them to take care of Natalie. He continues to implement male's are not allowed to bed bath her and hisses of female instead. He keeps insisting knowing the drugs they are injecting in her and glared if they are delayed giving it to her. His parents thrice a day tried to calm him for his over protectiveness and overreaction.

"I've been waiting for you to wake up," he murmured as he reaches for her hand.

She couldn't still succumb the strength to talk, so she just nodded a little bit. There was something stuck inside her nose -a nasal tube for the food to pass.

"Hey," he murmured, close to a coo; his face suddenly serene and vulnerable. His parents were beside him, watching this unexpected change of his mood. The fierce, grieve and miserable face was transformed in relief and even soft. He was about to peck her when a hand yank him on his shoulder.

"You shouldn't stress her for a while, remember?" asks his father. He can't just allow Natalie stressing up again because Chasen will overreact all over the place.

"Right," he chuckled and relieved his longing on her hand.

Natalie wipes the tears in his eyes as two long drops escape from it. She can see him pacified as he locked gaze with her.

"We should call the doctor to see her, son," Mrs. Fritzcole reminded him, when he forgotten what the doctor told him.

"Yes," he murmured; his eyes never wander away from Natalie; he wanted to see the lively eyes at the moment.

The father rolled his eyes, sighed and punched the red button. His wife chuckled at him.

The Friztcoles stayed for Natalie's company; as Chasen never wanted to leave Brazil without her beside him, and his parents couldn't leave their son too, they decided to stay for a while until Natalie's condition gets better enough for a non stopped flight to United State for another session of intensive care in more advance facilities closer to home. Right now she was still fragile that ever moves she makes causes her to moan, which causes Chasen to overreact too much and insists for her to take a pain medication all the time. It was unadvisable of course to depend too much with narcotics. He only stops persisting when Natalie told him it wasn't necessary; he glared at her for contradicting him too, but drops the argument -he only wanted for her to stay away from the pain again that's all.

The satellite team was still on the lookout for Azir as the old man seems to be untraceable for the past two weeks. However, the satellite spotted an illegal transaction to the Gulf of Mexico. It was one of Azir's business partners and it alarmed the government when they heard a rocket launch that will powdered the White House. The problem was the men never mentioned when. Immediately, navy were dispatched to intercept the business partner. He was selling freshly harvested organs to a Pakistani national. Through force confession the culprit blurted out three young women were killed in Mexico and ten kids were abducted too, and on their way to Israel for sex trafficking. The news was such sensational that it even reached Brazil. A call was made for Chasen's assistance in the situation. He wanted in the first place to join hunting for Azir, but Natalie is his priority right now and he couldn't seem to think leaving her.

"Just go," she persuaded as they listens to the news. "Help them stop this, stop the man behind all of these killings and kidnappings."

He clenched his jaw and glared at her for throwing him out of the country, worst throwing him out of her sight and touch. "I can stay a little bit," he muttered, frowning at her.
