Chapter 31

The enemy

Degon Malali stood in front of his comrades looking battered as every from the assaults coming from the government. They had bomb their hiding places, killed most their people and snipers taking a picking from all directions. Chasen Fritzcole can't really be touch in his country where his military people are cocooning him into safety.

The command was clear kill Chasen and be rewarded. Fifty million dollars for his head. Who can refuse such lure? Money is the magic word. A good sum of filthy millions.

But having such paycheck is proving dangerous. Already thirty of his men are dead and ten more are injured beyond uselessness.

"We had been hiding Degon for weeks now since the military started hunting us. We cannot harm the Fritzcole there are too many people protecting them," the Mexican native pointed out reality. "Even the cartel abandoned us because they knew it is stupid to pick up a war against the kid. The SEAL kid have tok much influence."

"We cannot abandoned plan the BIUFCO had one order-"

"The Sillowas is out providing us assistance. The plan isn't working, it is time to runaway while we can. Cross Mexico border then slowly travel to Columbia and reach Panama," he cut off.

Degon leered at him, "Miguel is this cowardice I am smelling from you?" He pace back and forth thinking. If his research is reliable there is one thing left to do in the US before going back home.

"I do not feel that-"

"But you are displaying it my friend. You know what is at stake here," Degon reminded, "the faction will slaughter us even your gang Miguel. Our only salvation at this point is cause mayhem to the Fritzcole in that way we might be spared once we go back home. The leader would know we did something other than nothing."

"How when the enemy had our faces. They know us now, even putting a foot out of this rat hole bring us danger, flying bullets everywhere including those high tech drones," a bandage covered black man spat.

"What we need to do is attack his mansion-" Degon was cut off by protest from eight remaining able men.

"That goddamn place is well protected!"

"Military people guard the place!"

"It would be like making ourselves an offering for them to kill!"

"Precisely, in that way the group would still welcome us back if we do that daredevil stunt. No members of our family will be slaughtered," Degon shouted.

"How the fucking hell would we even pass the effing gate when the stupid mansion is so highly protected?!" Miguel growled.

"What we need," Degon announced at the skeptical men, "are bombs, bulletproof cars and guns. Once we have those we attack. Some of us will die in the process while we do our job but this is the risk we had signed for when we joined the BIUFCO. Anyone who wanted to escape now can leave, let's see if you can still find bits of your families once the group find out you bailed on the mission."
