Chapter 33

Trouble

Chasen had a lot of things to think with the weight of information the army had bombarded him. The latest intel disturb him the most. There was an intruder alert from the ship yard where the Chinese fireworks shop is located. Huge amount of materials had been stolen from their storage, enough to shook a whole building. And there were the guns sold from some gangs downtown to the group they were after. According to Peter's men five individuals were spotted carrying boxes that were suspected contained several high powered guns. He tipped the military about it but three scoundrels left with half of the guns. The two vermins who were left behind were in no condition for interrogation. They were already gasping their last breath once the military retrieve them.

"They are readying for war," Clayton's word stuck in his mind.

War.....

Against him for sure.

What made Chasen anxious is he felt something would happen to him soon. He just felt the negative vibes and it made him feel edgy.

He just hope Natalie or his parents isn't in the line of fire because he will hunt every single person who were involve with it and kill them even if innocent people are included in his revenge. This is who he is no matter how the previous precious months had changed some of his life perspective.

"You keep on frowning and you will get gray hair," Chasen felt small hands snake around his waist and his nose smelt a lavender scent.

"I'm still handsome though," he muttered, "who is the clingy one now huh?"

Natalie chortled, "nah I just came here to tell you dinner is ready and the parents already arrived in case you're too busy mulling what has been said in that private meeting of your, husband."

"Well I am not complaining you fetch me," he chuckled before carrying her downstairs, ignoring as often her protest of being lifted off the ground like a baby. "Oppose me more and I swear I will devour your lips," he warned playfully.

"Try it and you are going to be punish later," Natalie's futile intimidation made him snort.

"You want to borrow my handcuffs," he grinned already imagining what naughtiness they will do later behind close doors, "again sweetheart?"

Natalie turned red on the spot. The guards heard their private conversation and Chasen wasn't diverting their attention away from them.

He snickered at her embarrassment. "No need to be uptight sweetheart they are old enough to know what we do once we lock our-"

She covered his mouth with both of her hands to force him to shut up about their personal business. "Okay hubby let's continue this discussion later," she whispered once the dinning table is in sight and the parents beckoning them to hurry up.

Degon and Miguel found themselves robbing a teenager in the park with a remote control drone in his hands. He was alone probably just finished flying his toy. Once they knocked him cold, they took every possession they needed to help them attack the Fritzcole's home. There are six of them remaining, two of their men met their ends from Chasen’s cohorts. That sudden attacked coming from the enemy really is their biggest problem if they wanted to succeed causing chaos to that family.

"Is this thing enough to carry the bombs when we fly it?" Miguel assessed, not at all confident with the drone.

"It will, what we need to do is for the distraction to work out before we launch this thing," Degon murmured, staring at the other four men in the van carrying their high powered guns. He and Miguel knew these men had no idea that they will be the bait for this to work while the two of them hide safely while they maneuver the drone. If their plan succeed, both men will escape unscathed and travel back home where the leader will spare their lives for mastering such attack.

"All we need to do right now is silently spy the house then if the chance present itself we attack and be done with it," Degon murmured.

"Then we go home," Miguel insisted.

"We go home," Degon assent.

"We go home!" the four guys with them shouted.

Both men stared at each other with understanding. If anyone goes home from this mission,  it's either Degon or him. The others will have to be left behind so that the military will focus on them while the to of them travel into safety.
