Ester head rushed with everything that happened with the band and Drew and how much she loved it, but she had to be careful and not act too much of a fan to him and be a professional musician.
She walks into the shop always 15 minutes before it opens and paces herself to get ready to be on the shop floor. She was hoping Brad to come in early, but as usual, he is always in 3 minutes before he starts. He looks over and gives her a small smile which makes her stomach flip as he is wearing that tight white top she loves on him. Ester gave him a little wave and tugs on her black pinafore denim dress, exposing her legs and a white graphic t-shirt with neon splats on it, her black ankle boots complimented the look and her French plaits. The studio was hot yesterday and decided to wear something looser but comfortable.
The shop floor wasn't overly busy today and went over to see Brad adjusting the guitars to make them sit perfectly on the stands.
'Is that your way of showing that you're busy?' She teases, he smirks at her.
'Well, I rather play them but Jason wouldn't be happy with me ruining the stock.'
She laughs. 'So, what is it you wanted to tell me?' Ester flirts while she holds onto the ends of her dress. Brad checked her out quickly and went red in the face.
'If you don't have a gig this weekend....or if you're not busy...' He scratches the back of the neck looking anywhere else but her.
'I love to.' She says and locks eyes on her. 'Saturday is good for me.' He smiles and mentions a place and a time too. Every bone is Esters body shivered on how he got nervous asking her out. The genuine emotion that he displayed that he didn't see her as a celebrity but as a person.
On this day, she finishes early to go to the community club only half an hour away and teaches kids to play the piano. Eric thought her doing this will make her celebrity status go up, making her noticeable while helping the community. She was only to this for a couple of weeks but enjoyed the passion from the little girl she teaches. Only 8, and reveals a funny imagination and determination to strive well on the piano. Ebony's told her she's her inspiration while she was on the TV, flattered, but thought the show was not suited for her age and couldn't believe she was allowed to watch it. All Ebony wants to do is 80's music for some reason, must be her parents listening to it all the time.
'Ester? What's it like being on stage?' Ebony asks,
'The most wonderful thing ever, seeing the people cheering you.'
'I like to have that one day.'
Ester smiles at her for being cute. 'You will.'
After the session, she takes Ebony to her mum, they have a quick chat which can go on long, but she had to find a way to go, as the studio is a bit further away this time and she can't be late.
After she made her excuses, she rushes her way to the studio nudging anyone who is in their way.
Checking the time on her phone she is 10 minutes late and sees Eric pacing around outside he's called her five times but didn't want to answer as getting there was her priority.
'Eric, I'm sorry.' she cries out.
'Ester, where have you been?'
'You know I volunteer on these days.'
'But you don't have to do it anymore.'
'I thought I would make it.' Ester eyes went down, 'Am I fired? Have I lost my placement?'
