At work she makes her way in, her first point of call is Brad, Ester goes into the staff room and notices a phone on the table, and it seems similar to his. She picks up the phone and unlocks the screen, to see a message from "Nadine" saying, "Thanks for last night baby ;). Ure so hot!" She looks at it confused, hoping that this is someone else. The door goes, she puts it back down, and Brad comes in.
'Hey.' he says,
'Hey, can we talk?'
'As long as your bodyguard isn't around.' his sarcastic tone almost tempt her not to say anything.
'Brad, please, I'm trying to apologize.' she states, 'But you can't be throwing speculations without talking to me first. Or even follow me.'
'I just care about you, the last thing I want is for you to be in danger.'
'I'm not, can we please move on from this?' he shrugs his shoulders and walks past her to pick up the phone on the table she looked through. Ester kept her poker face, but it is evident to her, Brad has not been honest with her either.
'Meet at break yeah?' he says, she nods still processing on what she should do.
Being in the shop floor in Ester's eyesight was not helping, the waiting to meet him to find out the truth. She knows the busy schedule has made this relationship complicated, and doubts creep into her mind more and more. The message from another woman caused her to deem that this is not a serious she wanted it to be.
When her break finally came around, Ester decided not to give Brad a look to follow as she wanted time to herself to think about what to say and how to bring it up without fighting. Then, she thought about Drew and that kiss, the goosebumps rise, and her mouth starts to dry. The effect that Drew had given her is nothing compared to anyone she has met before, yet Ester is desperate for more. His celebrity status does not affect her anymore and now is more confused. One minute, he wants to hold her and then he suddenly goes cold and dark, this is not what she is supposed to be thinking right now, and the door opens.
Brad stands there in his dark hoodie and jeans, the more Ester looks at him, she starts to see him as just some young kid, and it is putting her off him.
'Finally,' he walks up to her, and wraps around her waist, 'Get to spend some time with my girl.' He kisses her, but she did fell anything romantic anymore, and she pulls away. 'What's wrong?' he sees the doubt in her eyes, and there was no way of hiding it.
'What have you've been up to?' she asks, making little eye contact.
'What's with the small talk? You seriously not thinking that we'll get caught, are you?'
'No.' Ester rubs her hand on the back of the neck looking everywhere else but him, 'What do you do when you can't see me?' he raises his eyebrows.
'I think about you and how much I want you back in bed with me.' Brad tries to hold her, and she steps back again,
'No, I mean do you see other people?'
He shrugs. 'Yeah, like my friends....Ester, what are you trying to say?'
She sighs and decides to come out with it. 'I've seen your phone...I saw the messages from another girl.' as she looks at him, the blood drained from his face.
'I-I... don't know what you are talking about?' the nerves in his voice trembles, and she can see he is trying to hide his emotions.
'Don't, I'm not playing games with you. Just tell me the truth.'
