Ester debates in her head on what to do towards her feelings with Drew, as she sits in the car thinking to herself, maybe he just wanted it to become just colleagues? Without realising the car stops outside her house and Jordan had to get her attention to tell her, she is back at home.
She walked into her house, still thinking it over,
'Hey, you're back early.' Katie calls out in the living room, as she sits on her laptop, typing away her new article. The messy red bun and the lazy grey tracksuit represents her mood today.
'Yeah, didn't want to do too much in the first session. I thought you were going out today?'
Ester comes over and sits next to her, Katie shrugs. 'Already went out this morning, didn't go far.' she mentioned about being on a date, Ester was curious to know who he might be, but she did not want to say much and turn the conversation back to her, 'You all right? Looks like you've got something on your mind.'
'I'm not sure on what to do?'
'About your solo work, you've only just started.' Katie teases.
'No, the person that I'm working with, I'm starting to get mixed signals of him.'
'Why don't you just ask, put all your cards on the table? Find out where you stand.' Ester is curious, maybe the only way she is ever going to find out.
Katie decided to call it lunchtime and start prepping in the kitchen, Ester follows her and makes herself a coffee. The warm cosy mug around her hands makes her remember the cosines of when Drew held her hands tightly and telling her everything will be fine. Katie spreads the peanut butter on the thick slice and hears the door, and can see Ester is daydreaming and goes over.
As she comes back into the kitchen, she presents a bouquet of lilac flowers and places them on the island.
'I think this is for you.' she mocks, and distracts Ester from her thoughts. Observing the light lilac roses in detail and strokes the softness of the petals, as she peeps through she notices a card and takes it out. On one side of the card has a note in a roman serif font that makes her smile.
"You always look good in purple", she then hears her phones buzzing next to her, the first message she has ever read from Drew.
"Pick up at 7, EP party, celebrate for you. Wear your best dress. Can't wait to see you"
Ester reads out the text out loud, and Katie gets all excited for her, while that was happening she had a thought,
'Do I still have that box of purple dye in the cupboard?'
'I think so why?'
'You've got time to help me get ready?'
Katie explained because of how dark her hair, the sharp colour will not come through as much as she would want, Ester did not mind and for it only to be seen when the light shined onto it is. There was one dress she thought about and would work splendidly for tonight, this could be her final chance to show Drew what he is missing, and if he does, he is not worth it.
She wears an off-shoulder black heart-shaped bust dress that falls to the ground and one side slight exposing her right leg. Fitting onto her waist tightly and falls loosely around her legs. Her brown-purply locks curls over her shoulders slightly, the thick black eyeliner with light pink eyeshadow covered with a small amount of glitter around her eyelids with a medium pink lipstick. The last time she looked like this was at the awards in the show, it made her felt good, but this made her feel better as it was for a purpose, a celebration. The hard work she put into the EP will be noticed and lead to bigger things.

With 10 minutes left, she paces around downstairs fiddling with her hands getting nervous, as she feels butterflies in her tummy when she thinks about Drew. Katie leans on the counter reassuring her everything will be fine and to have fun tonight with the week Ester has been through, she deserves the attention.
After calming her nerves, the door goes to see it is Jordan again with the black car waiting for her to jump in.
With the nerves still present, she looks out the window as a distraction, and tries to take her mind somewhere else. Trying to sit comfortably, and having the urge to stop over-thinking if the dress is too much for the occasion. She tries to guess which rooftop bar they will be going, knowing Drew, it will be somewhere quite overpriced.
The tall skyscraper with a balcony in each room on every floor, this is the busiest street during the day for the hard business workers, and at night for the party life, she can sense the party life creeping up as the sun disappears. She follows Jordan into the lift and makes her mind go blank for a bit.
'Mr. Klax is very excited to see you.' he leans over to tell her and give him a small smile, and it made her heartbeat at some rapid pace. The doors open and she walks through an empty diner, passing the bar and to floor to ceiling glass window viewing the outside terrace, seeing a fire pit in the middle glowing. The other side is a tall man with dark brown brushed hair she calls Drew. His black suit complimenting his golden embroidered swirl pattern black shirt underneath, he stares at Ester taking every inch of her body and her beauty when she walks into the room.
'I hope Jordan didn't make your journey uncomfortable.' he mocks, encountering their introduction this morning, she giggles and goes red in the face.
'Thanks...you didn't have to do that.' she plays along, he laughs a little bit and walks up towards her.
'I had to.' His voice went deep, and she only just noticed how sexy it is. Taking her hand and leads her to the edge of the terrace, looking over Brooklyn, some parts of the city stands out, and when she looks at a view, she never gets tired of it.
'I've never realised this city had so much to offer.' Drew breaks the silence,
'It's full of wonderful mysteries.' Ester says, and he examines her hair and thought he saw some purple when the light hit it, she catches him in the corner of her eye thinking "Gotcha".
'You've dyed your hair?'
'Yes, it's not bright enough, but I'm looking to get it done lighter soon.' While holding on, he squeezes her hand, and she returns.
Drew pulls her gently to another part of the rooftop with white sofas facing each other with a small glass table in between including two champagne glasses and saw some purple rose petals on the table.
'I guess, I should be thanking you for the flowers?' Ester teases while she places herself down on the sofa and he watches her before letting go of her hand and sits on the opposite one.
'Thought it would be a nice surprise.' he goes a little bit red in his cheeks and she takes a sip from the flute, as he watches her, he presses his lips together ready for the next part of his chapter wanting to release.
'I have to be honest with you....'
'What nobody else isn't coming?' she jokes, clearly missing his serious tone,
'Actually yeah that's true....kind of want you to myself.' He smiles a little saying that,
'You already had me today in the studio. We could've spent some more time.' As she teases, he enjoys it,
'There's a world out there I want to see with you then being inside those four walls constantly.' He needs to get back to what he wants to say. 'There's also another thing....' this time Ester spots it and waits, 'I don't mean to go cold towards you sometimes, it's because... there is someone important to me, and I think you should know. Her name is Lucy.'
