The days went by too quickly in her eyes and needed more time with him, as they made sure they spent every hour together. The comfortable distance they kept in between, while he worked on songs he produces, Ester would sit on the piano and play away, writing and making notes as she goes along. Drew sits on the sofa concentrating, and she can see in eye view as he bites into his index fingernail and sometimes plays with his hair. It made her think of a new song to work on as she remembers the words she told him on the first night; being her "adventure". Ester decides not to sing them too loud for him to hear and only the melody, it did perk his ears up when he heard it and was curious to know what the lyrics are.

When Drew had enough of work, he sometimes plays the piano and shows her some techniques that he learnt. Every day they cooked, and tease each other when prepping. Drew stands comfortably in-between her legs, while she sits on the kitchen counter, eating her toast and tries to take a bite out of it. Ester teases back by moving it away, and he tickles the side of her hip, finding her weak spot. It draws her closer and then kisses her neck, changing his approach, she will always give in when Drews etches her into his arms.

Other days they would spend by the pool, play some card games, and watch 80s films. There was one point Ester wanted to show him around the area, but, he wants to keep his presence in the town still unknown. It sometimes daunt Ester whether he wanted to be with her at all, but the late nights always made up for it. One day, he just ordered some flowers randomly at the door for her to pick up, and it would make her heart sigh.

The last night here made Ester thought, is it the right time to say those magical three words. She was thinking it might not be right yet, especially with him moving on with Lucy and it might scare him off.

On one night, Ester was disturbed by Drew stirring in his sleep, like he was having a nightmare. The heavy breathing and the heat firing off his body alarmed her to comfort him the best she could, and she would jump over to his side and hold onto his hands as he does close to his chest and whispers sweet words to calm him. It usually works, and he whispers Esters name, she is not sure if he remembers as his eyes would never open, but he would wrap his arms around her.

She leans on the wall by the balcony taking in the wind and hearing the waves crashing against each other, wearing her thin black short nightgown that sways as she waits for Drew to come up. He has been downstairs checking all the security systems are on. The days spent with Ester had been amazing, and wonders if he is rushing into this too much, he still has guilt when he is not thinking about Lucy. The dreams had shown that, but it all goes away when she is present and looks at her as she stares at the stars.

'Drew, tell me more about your nightmares? What happens in them?' She turns around when speaking, he went quiet and sat down on the edge of the bed, gathering his thoughts.

'I see Lucy, and I feel her in pain. The treatments, how sick she is, anything that makes her hurt, hurts me. She holds onto my hand tight praying for me to take it away. Then I hear your voice and feel your warmth telling me to let go and set her free, and everything will be ok. I say your name to make sure I am safe and you're safe too - I know you've been helping me. I'm sorry, I'm putting you through this.' Drew plays with his hands feeling the gripping pain every night and never makes eye contact with her. All Ester could do is sit next to him and grab onto his hands.
