In this one, Shu's visiting BC Sol and has come to congratulate them on winning.

You pulled your bey from your pocket, holding it in your hand a moment before fitting it in your launcher. You concentrated on the stadium in front of you, and focusing on the centre.

"(Y/N)!" Just before you let your bey launch, the loud, excited voice of one of your best friends, Valt, rang from behind you. It distracted you just enough to make your bey steer clear of the  the target. Cuza and Honcho snickered around you, and you turned.

"Valt, you know better than to interrupt me when I'm-"

"But I had an amazing idea!" He seemed so excited, so you sighed and moved from your spot and headed to him, to put away your launcher and talk with Valt.

"What it is this time?" you asked, trying to fall into step with your friend.

"The next time you go home for a holiday, I should go with you!" You paused in your walking, just to stare at him with a look on your face that read 'crazy.' Slowly but surely, you shook your head no.

"My mom would absolutely hate you." You started toward the terrace again. "No offense."

"Aw, come on, (Y/N)! It'll be fun!"

"I don't doubt that. I just don't want to cause crazy tension." You could hear Valt huff from behind you.

"Shu's met your mom," he mumbled, disappointment in his voice. And a bit of something else too.... jealousy? You quickly pushed the thought out of your head. Valt, jealous of Shu? No way.

"You and Shu are two totally different people," you explained to him, even putting your bow on your shoulder so you could place your hands on his shoulders, almost reassuringly. "I know that makes me sound horrible, but it's true."

"Give me one reason why she wouldn't like me." Valt  was not letting this go, so you leaned closer to his ear and whispered, "Because you're fun." He began laughing, so you followed en suite. You both ended up laughing very hard, earning looks from the people that passed by. They knew you two as the weird pair of friends, the ones who were the same but different. And you were both perfectly fine with that.

You spun on your heel and continued the trek to the stadium. "I'll think about it, alright? But it isn't a guarantee." Footsteps sped after you.

"Really?"

"Yes, really. Now go, before I change my mind. I'll see you at dinner." Valt nodded before speeding off to do God knows what. Eventually, you made it to the rooftop. You rushed , slid your bey and launcher in your hand, and focused on your stance again.

The roof was empty and quiet, and that's exactly how you liked it. With the only sounds being  the wind, it was the perfect atmosphere to let your blader juices flow. Unless someone chose to come onto the roof and ruin it. Which someone did.

"(Y/N)," Honcho said to you, calling out your name in that annoying drawl he always used, "Shu's back." If you had been ignoring him before, you weren't now.

"Are you being serious?" he just stared at you, waiting for the shock to sink in. Shu had left  to go do whatever it was he did. He hadn't been back in months, and you hadn't had any word from him in quite some time. After you realized that Shu most likely was back, you shot up off your bed and sprinted out .

Now, you weren't usually one for running, but when you had an incentive, you could run pretty darn fast. You dodged all the people you could, apologizing to those who you couldn't. You made it to his room in no time at all (it honestly wasn't that far of a run, but... whatever). Tapping on the door with your signature knock, you jumped up and down in anticipation as you waited for you other best friend.

When the door finally opened, you flung yourself at him. Shu wasn't one for hugs, you knew that almost better than anyone, but you hadn't seen him in so long. You needed to make up for that.

"Um, (Y/N), please get off," he asked, trying to pry you off of his body. Your arms were wrapped tightly around his neck, and you were almost positive it was uncomfortable for him. Reluctantly, you released him and took a step back.

"Shu, where in the world have you been?" You couldn't have looked that intimidating, with your muddy  shirt and torn jeans, but the look you were shooting him could kill. And he knew it too, he knew you would be beyond mad after he returned.

"As you know, I've been gone to lead the Raging Bulls." You nodded. "I found a new skilled student and had to teach him." He had been gone for so long, you just couldn't help yourself. You pulled him into a hug once more.

"As long as you're safe," you muttered, before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. He turned a thousand shades of red. "Just send me a message or something next time, alright? See you at dinner." You scurried off toward the Dining Pavilion, wanting to get to dinner a bit earlier than usually.

The tables slowly began to fill with children of all ages, each wanting nothing more than a plate of food and a cup of something to drink. Your cup was filled with your favorite drink, and you were silently sipping at it as your friends talked about BeyBlading  or something. You weren't actually paying attention, because a figure walking toward your table was distracting your attention.

"Have you thought about it yet?" Valt slid next to you on the bench.

"For god's sake, Valt ," you whispered, looking around to see if anyone was actually paying attention.

"I'm not moving until you give me a straight answer."

"If you don't leave, I'm not battling with you." You smiled triumphantly as Valt stood up and slowly backed away from the table, walking around to get back to his.

"You win this time, (L/N)," he said, shaking his head and grinning at you. Dinner continued without many more problems. You noticed Valt  glancing at you every so often, mouthing, "Yes or no?" in your direction, but only if you were looking. You also noticed that Shu was sitting at a table, picking at his food, almost bored. You definitely wouldn't hesitate to go sit by him if you were able. That's why when the time for the surprise bonfire party came around, you made sure to pull Shu to sit in the empty spot next to you.

You were one of the people whom Chris had picked to actually lead today, so you stood in front of your seat, coaxing people to sing along to the fun tune of the song. You had always enjoyed leading the sing-alongs, as it was always just a blast to mess around and do what you loved with your friends.

And, as they both watched you there, laughing and singing and looking so beautiful in the low light of the fire, Valt and Shu both realized something. They loved you.

And, as they both glanced at each other at the exact same time, with the exact same glint in their eyes, they realized they would have to fight with all their might to win you over.
