You and Xhan had grown up together. He was the prince of the country, and you were his best friend, the son of his father's court minister. You had always been the only one he deemed as worthy of battling, the only one who managed to surprise him.

But then, Aiga Akabane came along.

It was as if everything you had been was suddenly taken by him. He became Xhan's rival. He became the one Xhan had the most confidence in. Heck, it felt like you weren't his best friend. Even though you had always wanted to  be more.

Yes, you had a gay-ass crush on the prince. Life was unfair,wasn't it?

" Something on your mind?" A certain voice rung out.

" Yeah, I'm fine, Laban. Just not feeling so well is all." Obviously, Laban didn't buy it. He inched a bit closer to your face.

" What-" You sputtered, face turning red at his proximity.

" Tension in your jaw." Laban observed your face." Eyebags . Muscles of the face are not relaxed. Fake smile." 

He leaned back." You like Xhan, don't you?"

" What gives you that idea? O-Of course I don't!" 

" You're stuttering."

" No!"

" So if he confessed to Aiga, would you be fine with it?"

Your face immediately morphed into one of thought. Would you be fine if he confessed?

" ...I would be fine with it, I just want the best for him."

Laban sighed." You do like him. Stop lying to yourself. And you're cross because he's been ignoring you the past couple of days, no?"

You remained speechless. Just how much did this boy know?

He grinned." My fortune never lies!" 

He took your palm in his, and studied it. His face turned brighter.

" Be prepared for a good surprise, (y/n)!"

" Wha-" However, your words were cut off  as he ran away and the person whom your thoughts revolved around so much nowadays, came to a halt right in front of you.

" ...Xhan?"

" Yes, my friend. I want to show you something . Come with me!"

" Alright.." you relented. Xhan grinned and took your hand in his . The familiar butterflies rushed through your body as your hands touched.   

You both soon entered a dark chamber in the ship. Something about it didn't sit quite right with you. You nervously clutched onto your shirt in fear.

" Xhan, wha-"

Suddenly, the room lit up. Everywhere you looked, there were bouquets of your favourite flowers, your favourite food, your favorite chocolate.

"..." You gaped around in pure joy.

" Do you like it?" Xhan nervously asked.

'' Like it? I LOVE it!" You exclaimed, and the next moment, Xhan was kneeeling down in front of you.

" (Y/n), I've liked-no, loved you since we were kids. I love everything about you. I'm sorry for not paying attention to you these days. Me and Aiga were planning how to arrange this whole thing. So, will you be my boyfriend?"

" I- yes,yes, a million times yes!" You screamed, tearing up." Thank you so much, Xhan, I thought-"

You were cut off by a pair of lips on your own. Xhan 's lips felt warm and full of passion, as if he'd been supressing his feelings for a long time, and was now finally acting on them.

'' Dear (y/n), always so easily flustered." He chuckled, placing another quick kiss on your cheek. Your face was a burning hue of red.

'" Shut up, Xhan!"

Meanwhile, Laban was grinning .

" I told you my fortune never lies, (Y/N)."
