"So I am to inform the board about the cancellation?" James asked the woman sitting in front of him. "Yes."
They were currently in the office. James was observing Yaya carefully. She was too calm and relaxed. Not that he doesn't like seeing her like this, but it's just so different from the usual Yaya who was always occupied with work.
"So you have another plan?"
"For now I have to think about my next move. Can you also schedule a dinner with uncle sometime this week, I have to tell you both something. " She said, moving to the sofa to sit more comfortably.
"Well, now would be a great time to enjoy yourself and relax a bit. Like attending a party with me? " He asked excitedly.
"Seeing that there are no current problems with Chen Group, I think I'd rather just relax at one of our Resorts here." She said leaning her back to feel more relaxed. "Parties aren't really my thing." She added.
"Oh c'mon Yaaaa! Please just 1, please? " He pleaded along with the hand gestures.
"Let me think about it first." She responded closing her eyes feeling lazy. This is the first time she felt at ease, she just wants to relax and do nothing for once.
"So... Mind telling me now what happened Yesterday Missy? And why you backed out from Hong Kong? I mean you have been planning this expansion since last year. Now you backed out all of a sudden." James muttered with curiosity.
"I'll tell you everything when we have dinner with uncle." She answered, eyes still closed.
James just pouted at her reply. A sudden knock on his office door was heard and in came Margie.
"Sir, there's a car waiting for Ms. Sperbund at the entrance. " Margie informed James, momentarily glancing at Yaya who has her eyes still closed sitting in the lounge area.
"Who?" James said curiously. Was it Dad? He thought.
"He said He was her... Husband." Yaya's Eyes Immediately opened when she heard Margie's Words. Rushing to the door hurriedly.
"Husband ?!" James immediately got up from his seat and followed after Yaya who was now quickly making her way out his office.
"Yaya!"
"James, I'll call you later. I just need to take care of something. Stay! " She said, shooing him back to his office.
"Oh you sneaky girl!" He said attempting to enter the elevator before her.
"James, Please! Please! listen to your sister for once okay? I'll go to a Party with you if you stay. " She announced.
"Okay. 2 parties it is then. Bye! Have fun with your husband. " He said a little enthusiastically, pushing her inside the elevator himself. She just rolled her eyes and face palmed at his cheeky behavior.
She needed to remind herself to find a diversion for James to focus on, so he could think of something else other than her for once.

She entered the parked Bentley in front of the building.
Barry's figure clad in a suit greeted her, this look really suited him she thought. His Lean muscled build was outlined by his Navy blue suit exuding excellence and a very masculine aura.
Hot. She thought.
"You're drooling bunny." His deep voice interfering with her gawking. She was sitting very close to the door, making him frown. He wants her to sit close to him.
"Husband huh?" She raised an eyebrow at him. "Getting ahead of ourselves aren't we?"
"Well, you basically confessed your undying love for me yesterday, saying you'll only marry me."
Secretary Ito who was driving was becoming more and more amazed at the way his Boss has changed since yesterday. His usual scowl was nowhere to be seen and it was only now did he find out his Boss has killer dimples.
Someone up there must've listened to his prayers. His Boss was becoming human.
Yaya glared at Barry, and reached for his ears to pinch when he took that chance to pull her closer to him. He tangled their arms, holding her hands tightly so she wouldn't let go easily.
"You need to woo me properly Mr. Kugimiya. I'm not an easy girl who will agree to everything you say just because I treat you a little differently. " She uttered, trying to take her hands off his hold. He refused to let go, making her sigh in defeat.
"I'll woo you everyday until you agree to marry me." He declared, smiling very widely. She just rolled her eyes at his remarks, this man is really bold, she thought.
He stared at her profile. She looks Beautiful, even when she glares."You're wearing the necklace." He noticed the small sparkling pendant hanging from her delicate neck. A Dahlia.
"Yes, I used to wear it once a year. Now, I just felt like wearing it." She said, looking at their intertwined hands. "Where are we heading again?" She asked casually, trying to change the subject. She didn't want to boost his ego again, her confession yesterday was enough of an embarrassment on her part. Telling him that she only wears it on his birthday will surely have him shouting it to the world.
The necklace was given by him 8 years ago along with a letter saying he'll come back for her.
She waited for him for a month but he never came back, it just fueled her ongoing grief for the loss of her mother.
She couldn't eat or speak properly, she couldn't even cry after that night keeping all her sorrow inside, she ended up being hospitalized because she was getting thinner and sicker by day.
Uncle Leo decided to take her to France against her wish to wait for more. They didn't want to see her suffering anymore.
Taking her away from Thailand was the only way they knew to get her better."We're here." The car came to a halt, interrupting her thoughts. She didn't realize she zoned out the rest of their ride.
Looking outside the tinted window, she saw a familiar building.
"The orphanage?" Yaya was surprised. She always wanted to see it again but thinking about it always reminded her of Barry, so she never attempted to come back.
He got out of the car to open the door for her. Stepping outside the car she looked at the structure that held her happiest memories.
"Why is it empty?" She asked, noticing the there was no one around, the place was quiet and uninhabited.
"They moved to another location last year, I donated money to help them renovate the place but they decided to just move to the next town." He sighed.
