Chapter 22: Reciprocate

"Wait Mr. Bailey? " Yaya was surprised because from that man's attitude alone, he wasn't the type to attack someone who had the power to make him lose his business.

"Are you sure? Because I have someone in mind who had the right motive. " The change in the atmosphere chilled Akira. He looked at the Young Miss. She had her hands clenched into a fist showing an irritated expression. " Young Miss what do you mean? "

"The target was me." She looked at him. Yaya blew out a deep breath to calm her irritation.

"That man's sister, that woman was trying to eliminate me in hopes of getting my Fiancé."

"Oh." Akira was very surprised, this observation was more probable. But realizing her words he felt elated.'Fiance 'Oh that'll make his boss Happy.

"I'll handle everything young miss. They set up a meeting, Let's see if she still had the guts to go tomorrow. " Akira was already planning ahead, his boss would want this handled as soon as possible. "We'll see. Oh and Can I borrow your phone later? "

"Of course Miss Yaya."

"I'm going back to his room to take care of him." She muttered to Akira. Raising her eyebrows at the secretary's delighted expression.

"Yes Miss. The boss should be waking up soon. " Akira bowed, he did not have the power to stop the woman from doing what she likes. This woman is Master's future wife, so he must curry favor with this miss as much as he can. He might get a vacation.

"Tell me the truth. Where did his wounds come from? " Yaya was really curious. Now, she knows Barry will always be secretive when it comes to his pain and suffering unless she pries it out of him forcefully or by guilt tripping him.

Asking his secretary will probably be the best option at getting an honest answer. They were walking back to the Boss's private room, Secretary Akira left him with 5 bodyguards when he took the young miss to another private room to get treated.

"Ah, Miss I don't-" He was sweating now, Her questions were testing his loyalty.

"Oh, if I don't get answers from you, I might just have to pry it from your boss then I'll tell him you didn't even bother to answer my simple-"

"He got hit by a metal pole while saving 2 of his employees in Hong Kong. His history of being in a coma has weaken his response to the hit. He slept for 9 days straight. When he woke up, most of his wounds healed but the severe ones were still open. The young miss knows just how stubborn the Master is, when he woke up we flew straight to Thailand. " Akira rambled.

"So, You're telling me that he was still severely injured when we went here." She thought about the things they did when they arrived in Switzerland. Remembering him wince in pain when he walked barefooted at the trail. When they were skiing, she felt that something was wrong him when she caught him grimace in pain when he fell on his back one time. She just told him that she wanted her hot chocolate that time so that they could get out of the snow.

"Your boss is really irresponsible and thoughtless you know that. Now, I'm mad for a completely different reason. " She sighed. Yaya was already planning on how to make it up to him.

That man seriously needs scolding and she'll make sure, he gets as much in the future.

"I'll send everything you need, I'll prepare everything, child. Do you want me to send James too? " Uncle Leo answered at the end of the line.

"No, just the documents and Thank you Uncle." She was very thankful because he didn't ask any questions or stopped her from making her own decisions.

"Take care of yourself okay? And let me meet the man, I think it's about time. " His chuckle sent warmth in her heart. Uncle Leo was like the father figure in her life. He always supported her, even when he couldn't really understand her sometimes.

"Of course, when we get back I promise." She dropped the call and sighed in relief. Turning around she looked at the man on the hospital bed.

She sat down at the chair beside him. She stared at the clock on the wall. It was 3 in the morning. Despite the fatigue, her mind was rather active.

She wanted to wait for him to wake up. She wanted to talk to him again, just hear his lively voice. She wanted to erase the last remaining fear inside her. His last words were still circulating in her mind, Yaya wanted to curse him for her overthinking.

She thought about her talk with Uncle Leo. She was fairly excited about telling Barry everything. It was a decision she thought about constantly since the first time he proposed it.

Marrying him was something she thought about carefully, although she planned to do so before. But the actual thing scared her yet excited her at the same time.

Yaya didn't know what she feels for him right now, but the fear she had of losing him was somehow a hint. She didn't know if she should acknowledge it but she'll just have to go along with what she feels is right.

Yaya had no idea if she was heading in the right direction but it was better than before when she had no direction at all. She was going to spend the rest of her life with this man. If he was willing to give her everything like he said then she was willing to reciprocate.
